Appatrol is a diet supplement that works as an appetite suppressant, fat burner and energy enhancer and according to the product advertising, will help support your weight loss. You are advised to combine the pill with a healthy exercise and diet plan and the product comes endorsed with a 60-day guarantee, which looks good.
Appatrol contains three key ingredients and is built around the properties of Caralluma Fimbriata an Indian plant that is known as having an appetite suppressing effect. In light of the fact that the people of India have often experienced food shortages and famine, it seems slightly distasteful to use one of their famine foods as a solution to western obesity. However, obesity is a world problem and causes serious medical conditions so if this plant really helps, why not! We covered Caralluma Fimbriata in an early article and were very impressed with it.
Appatrol is made by Natramed Health who also manufactures Appaluma – an alternative supplement that also contains Caralluma Fimbriata along with Garcinia Cambogia and Yerba Mate extract. Appatrol is a similar looking product because of the principle ingredient. It appears that Natramed Health certainly have behind this ingredient in a big way!
Natramed also market the Secrets Of A Skinny Bitch series of books and motivational CDS that will help you support weight loss.
Appatrol has the right image. The website is glossy and professional but this effect is spoiled by an incredibly annoying video with loud music. The video is pointlessly long especially as most of it is the same text that can be found on the page, set to music. Be warned if you look at work or want to keep your browsing secret. This music is loud and starts unexpectedly! You cannot prevent it and it is extremely irritating.
Another downside to the Appatrol website is that it is short of information. Ingredient amounts are not given even if you link to the sales page. Be warned once you are there, the music will start up all over again. This will cause people to leave the site and may be a reason why this diet pill is not more popular.
You are not given any dosage instructions but with 60 caplets at one months supply, we suggest one caplet before breakfast and one before lunch. Appatrol contains stimulants so may interfere with sleeping if taken too close to bedtime.
According to the advertising Appatrol is manufactured in a GMP approved facility. Australian TGA Approval AUST L 181079.

So What Is Appatrol and What Are The Ingredients For Appatrol?
Appatrol is an appetite suppressant that is also supposed to work as a fat burner and energy booster as well. It contains just three ingredients and each capsule contains 500mg however, the contents breakdown is not specified.
- Caralluma Fimbriata: This succulent Asian plant is often used in India as an ingredient in pickles and chutneys. The plant is everywhere and can often be seen growing as a roadside shrub or on patches of uncultivated ground. It has been used by Indian people because of its ability to quench thirst and hunger and it is believed to have an effect upon the appetite receptors of the brain. When tested on 50 overweight people results showed that it had an effect upon reducing the circumference of the waist and reduced hunger levels leading to weight loss. This clinical study was carried out in India over a 2-month period. Source: http://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S0195666306006143.
There have been other clinical trials, looking into the efficacy of Caralluma Fimbriata including a pilot study carried out by Victoria University in Melbourne. Results have indicated that Caralluma Fimbriata could play a role in the fight against obesity. Results very look promising but it is early days. There do not appear to be any adverse side effects. Source: http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/23642949
- Green Tea Extract: This natural tea taken from the Camellia Sinensis plant has many health benefits and has been tested for its efficacy in preventing serious illnesses such as cancer and diabetes. Green tea contains high levels of antioxidant EGCG and according to research can reduce cholesterol levels and lower body fat. Epigallocatechin (EGCG) is the most abundant Catechin in green tea and is a potent antioxidant. Green tea contains caffeine. Source: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Epigallocatechin_gallate
- Synephrine also known as Citrus Aurantium or Bitter Orange Extract: Often included in diet supplements because it acts in a similar way to banned substance ephedrine. Bitter orange is known to increase the metabolism and promote energy but it is linked to heart palpitations and can cause medical problems if taken in high quantities. See our earlier article on synephrine
So What Does All This Mean?
Appatrol looks good and the key ingredients will help you lose weight. The major problem is that amount quantities are not given. How much Caralluma Fimbriata, how much green tea is actually in this supplement?
Appatrol contains synephrine too and although the website information states that this is only in safe small amounts that will not cause heart palpitations we would have preferred to have seen exact ingredient amounts so we could make up our own minds.
Does Appatrol Have Any Side Effects?
According to the manufacturer, Appatrol is safe and will not cause side effects and is unlikely to cause any drug interactions. You are advised to visit your doctor for advice before you start taking it.
Avoid if you are pregnant or breast-feeding.
Caution: Avoid if you suffer from a heart condition or hypertension (high blood pressure) due to the synephrine content.
Users need to be aware that although Caralluma Fimbriata looks to be a safe and effective ingredient for weight loss, clinical testing has not yet examined long-term effects.
Any Appatrol Reviews From Customers?
Apart from a few positive customer testimonials via video, it is hard to find customer feedback for Appatrol. The few video testimonials are positive but appear linked to the official website. Appatrol is on sale via Amazon but at the time of writing had not received any customer reviews.
So Does Appatrol Work?
It may help you lose some weight. We would prefer if there were more customer feedback available and if the ingredient amounts were listed.

There is a money back guarantee that is valid for 60 days after purchase date. You will need to contact Appatrol for details and you will have to return your products to Australia to qualify for the refund.
Appatrol is a good-looking product that is let down by extremely irritating sound track on the website and a lack of information about the contents of the pills.
We do not like the fact that Appatrol contains synephrine and although if this ingredient is in safe quantities, it should not cause any harm, we would prefer to know more details.
The guarantee looks good but for customers outside Australia it may not be cost effective.
We were close to approving Appatrol but in the end felt more was needed and so rejected this supplement.
