Brazilian Slimming Tea Review
Brazilian Slimming Tea Facts
- Manufactured by Brazilian Slimming Tea
- Four types of tea blend
- Available in 30, 60 or 90 day packs
Brazilian Slimming Tea is a daily program of drinking four different tea blends that are intended to boost the metabolism, suppress the appetite, reduce bloating, improve skin tone, and provide antioxidants.
The company claims that their products have been featured on the Dr. Oz show, and provide a link to a video- however, viewing the video makes it clear that Dr. Oz is recommending consuming different teas at different times of the day to maximise weight loss, and does not recommend or endorse any particular product.
One of the hidden bonuses of using a tea drinking program such as Brazilian Slimming tea is that the low calorie and even calorie free drinks replace the many high calorie drinks that people often drink throughout the day. As many dieters forget to include these calories in their daily intake, drinking high calorie drinks such as juices, coffees and soft drinks can quickly hinder progress with a diet.
How to Take Brazilian Slimming Tea
Consumers are directed to drink each of the teas at the appropriate time of day.
There are four tea blends; a morning blend, an afternoon blend, an evening blend and a night time blend.
The guidelines for use also state: You may drink your tea with or without meals, hot or cold, and for best results try to stick with the timing on each tea-bag.
Try also to avoid putting milk, cream, sugar, or honey in your tea as they will counter some of the effects. Zero calorie sweetener is okay.
Drinking green tea and the other low calorie tea blends in this product will actually help dieters to stick to a lower calorie diet. The products also help consumers to stay hydrated throughout the day, which is important not only for health, but for dieting. This is because water is required by the body for many metabolic processes.
Brazilian Slimming Tea Concerns:
- Diuretic ingredients
- No money back guarantee
- Expensive product
What Does Brazilian Slimming Tea Claim To Do?
The manufacturers of Brazilian Slimming Tea state that the key to losing weight with this product is to drink the right blend of teas at the right time of the day. In theory this will optimise fat burning, and provide appetite suppression when needed the most.
The morning tea blend supposedly shrinks fat cells, boosts the metabolism, and helps to suppress the appetite. The afternoon blend ‘will give you a metabolism makeover will dissolve stubborn areas.’ The evening blend has diuretic ingredients that help to rid the body of excess water weight and minimise bloating, and is described as a fruity herbal tea. Finally, the evening blend is designed to focus on appetite reduction, as well as balancing glucose levels, relieving indigestion and reducing inflammation.
So What Is Brazilian Slimming Tea and What Are The Ingredients?
Although the official website does not detail which ingredients are contained within each tea, the ingredients used across the collection of teas are as follows:
- Pu’erh tea: Thought to lower cholesterol levels as well as potentially aid with weight loss, thanks to the polyphenols is contains, which may help to boost the metabolism slightly.
- Oolong tea: Studies have suggested that the caffeine and antioxidants found in Oolong tea improve lipid metabolism in the body, and that chronic consumption of oolong tea could decrease body fat content and reduce body weight by a small amount.
- Green Tea: Green tea is high in a group of antioxidants called catechins. Studies have suggested that catechins and caffeine both increase energy expenditure by boosting the metabolism slightly for few hours.
- King Peony White Tea: White tea contains less caffeine than other teas, but still is high in polyphenols, which have anti-oxidant properties and may boost the metabolism.
- Raspberry Tea: Has anti-inflammatory properties, antioxidant properties, and adds flavour to the tea.
- Chickweed: A diuretic that increases urination, reducing water retention and bloating. Also has anti-inflammatory benefits, and can provide some pain relief.
- Mint: Used to treat digestive problems, IBS, gas, and the common cold, as well as sinus infections.
- Senna: Senna is an FDA-approved non-prescription laxative. It is used to treat constipation.
So What Does All This Mean?
There are several different types of teas used in Brazilian slimming teas, which all have different properties. Several of the teas used in the Brazilian Slimming blends are clinically proven to increase the metabolism and to boost thermogenesis. There is also some evidence that tea consumption, especially green tea, could limit the appetite, although it is still not comparable to stronger appetite suppressants.
Not all of the ingredients are directly aimed at tackling weight loss. Several of the teas contain laxative and diuretic ingredients. These will reduce bloating and fluid retention, as well as increasing bowel movements. These can cause a slimmer silhouette and loss of water weight, but will not contribute to long term weight loss.
Does Brazilian Slimming Tea Have Any Side Effects?
Green tea and other teas made from the Camellia Sinensis plant all contain caffeine, although the amount varies between varieties and even between cups. Caffeine is both a stimulant and a mild diuretic, and so can cause side effects such as headaches, increased heart rate, increased blood pressure, heart palpitations, increased urination, dehydration, jitteriness, dizziness and insomnia.
Senna is a natural laxative, used to treat constipation. Consumers who already have regular bowel movements could experience increased bowel movements, an upset stomach and even diarrhoea. Drinking plenty of water throughout the day will minimise stomach discomfort.
Chickweed is a natural diuretic, and so causes increased urination. Consumers should ensure they drink enough water throughout the day to minimise the chances of dehydration. Dehydration can lead to dry mouth, muscle cramps, nausea, feeling lightheaded and weakness.
Not recommended for children under 13, or women who are pregnant or breastfeeding.
Always consult a doctor before beginning any weight loss or supplement regimen.
Any Brazilian Slimming Tea Reviews From Customers?
There are a wide variety of reviews for this product on amazon. Overall there are many more positive reviews than negative opinions.
Been using for a few days now and exercising in the morning and have already lost 2 pounds. Also have WAY less cravings.
Every bag tastes different and delicious, I didn’t stick to this tea long enough to lose any weight or to notice any changes on my skin however, want to say that morning blend does help with cravings, evening blend really helps your digestion and night blend really helps with your sleep. I like this tea and yes I will order another box.
This product works well when used as directed. The scale didn’t move, but I did feel a lot less bloated, and my skin was improved, and I’ve ordered another box.
There are a few negative reviews for the product:
I tried this tea, after reading the reviews… because I needed to lose around 10 lbs. I didn’t see any results. Even started eating healthier. It didn’t suppress my appetite either. The tea tastes great, but that’s about it. I’m not trying this again & I wouldn’t recommend this to anyone. Sounded too good to be true.
Teas had no flavour unless you put sugar in them which I was trying to avoid, thus DETOX. But to be honest I am not a big tea drinker so this was difficult for me to drink tea all day long, plus it stains your teeth pretty bad. Personal preference, I will just stick to my cucumber water from now on and keep my money.
I did receive my order fairly quick however I was unable to complete all the teas. Every morning after drinking the morning tea I would get a terrible headache and upset stomach. After a few days I had to stop.
So Does Brazilian Slimming Tea Work?
The customer reviews and ingredients list suggest that the teas will help to provide a slimmer silhouette by reducing bloating and water retention, as well as aiding with regular bowel movements. Green tea, oolong and Pu’erh tea all contain polyphenols, especially EGCG, which helps to increase thermogenesis in the body, which can burn more calories and aid weight loss. However, the effects are fairly small.
It is also difficult to regulate the actual strength of the teas and the amount of polyphenols found in each cup, and supplements are likely to have a higher level of EGCG than a cup of green tea.
We suspect that the greatest weight loss effects seen by users will be when the Brazilian Slimming teas are replacing high calorie drinks, as well as being consumed as a part of a calorie controlled diet.
Where Can I Buy Brazilian Slimming Tea?
Brazilian Slimming Tea can be bought from the official website, or from amazon.
There are several different sizes of the product available, although all products contain the same four tea blends, merely in different quantities.
From the official website there are three sizes available. The 30 day Slim Down is usually $100.00, although was on sale for $69.00 at the time of writing this article. The 60 day Fat burner usually costs $200.00, but again was reduced to $129.00 at the time of writing. Finally, the largest option is the 90 day Fat destroyer, reduced from the usual price of $300 to $190. Shipping costs may also apply.
From amazon, a 15 day supply costs $39.00 plus delivery.
What About A Guarantee
There is no money back guarantee offered by the manufacturer.
Overall, we feel that the weight loss benefits of drinking Brazilian Slimming Teas are overstated by the manufacturer. Whilst the drinks may aid some weight loss, and will certainly help to improve the consumer’s silhouette by reducing bloating, we feel that ultimately, Brazilian Slimming Tea is not of a comparable strength to the diet pills we have approved here at Diet Pills Watchdog. The suggestion that consumers can drink more of certain blends if they feel hungry also suggests this.
The tea blends are expensive, and require planning to be consumed throughout the day, every day. Consumers have generally commented on the pleasant taste of some of the teas, although it is likely that not every customer will like the taste. This would obviously be problematic for people considering long term use of the product.
There is no money back guarantee from the manufacturer either, meaning that consumers who do not like the product are stuck with a large quantity of tea bags that they do not want.
The people who are going to benefit the most from Brazilian Slimming Tea are people who like the teas enough to replace higher calorie drinks with this product. This would help to create a calorie deficit in their diet, leading to weight loss in the long term. Overall, we cannot recommend this product.
