According to research carried out by the University of Liverpool it does.

They carried out an analysis of 185 studies into fish oil and came up with some surprising findings.

The research found that fish oil might help you change your diet, restrain your appetite and help you get fit and healthy as well. How does this happen?

It seems that when we eat junk food that is high in refined sugars and saturated fats, it disrupts an important process in the brain called neurogenesis.

Fish Oil Capsules

Neurogenesis is crucially important. This process means in simple language, the generation of new brain cells so is vital for all sorts of things going on in the brain.

According to the researchers, Omega 3 – a vital fatty acid found in fish oil can stop this disruption because it stimulates the parts of the brain that controls feeding and appetite, memory and learning.

Scientists have found that junk food inhibits the brain’s control on the body’ intake of food. As most of us know from personal experience , food that is high in sugar and fats has this effect and once we start eating cakes, takeaways or high fat sugary food it is hard to stop. The more you eat, it seems the more you want to eat.

A diet that is high in Omega 3 can strengthen the part of the brain that controls your appetite so it may help you get control over your diet.

The head researcher Lucy Pickavance seems to think so. She said,

Fish oils don’t appear to have a direct impact on weight loss, but they may take the brakes off the detrimental effects of some of the processes triggered in the brain by high-fat diets.

She continued,

They seem to mimic the effects of calorie restrictive diets and including more oily fish or fish oil supplements in our diets could certainly be a positive step forward for those wanting to improve their general health.

Oily fish and omega 3 may not physically help you get thin but as a support to weight loss and general health, it definitely seems worth trying.

Back in our grandparents and great grandparent’s day, a spoonful of cod liver oil was regarded as a cure for just about everything.

It seems that although times have changed, a spoonful or capsule of “brain food” is also good for the modern problems of weight gain.

As new information and research becomes available about commonly used diet pill ingredients, it becomes apparent that some ingredients carry a high risk of serious side effects. These are sometimes banned by numerous countries, and the diet pills that contain them have to be reformulated to stay legal. One such product is Pro Supps’ DNPX, which in the past contained ephedra and DMAA, both of which are now banned.

We take an in-depth look below at the most recent formulation of Pro Supps’ DNPX below.

Pro Supps’ DNPX Facts

  • Manufactured by Pro Supps
  • 60 capsules per bottle
  • Thermogenic Amplifier

DNPX is a diet pill designed to tackle weight loss in several ways, including increasing the metabolic rate and thermogenesis, and by suppressing the appetite. It is made by a company called Pro Supps, who state that this product is suitable for anyone who wants to lose weight, even if they are not competing.

Pro Supps USA LLC are an American supplement manufacturer. They make a wide range of supplements aimed at athletes and bodybuilders. Their contact information is listed on their official website, and they have a prominent online presence through social media, making them fairly easy to contact.

Prosupps’ DNPX has been through several different formulations over the past few years. It was first reformulated to remove Ephedra after the ingredient was banned in several countries, including the USA. Two versions were then released, one with and one without DMAA. Since then, DMAA has also been banned in several countries due to safety concerns and the number of serious side effects associated with its use.

How to Take Pro Supps’ DNPX

DNPX is a powerful dietary supplement and is intended for use by healthy adults over the age of 18.

Do not use any other caffeine products in combination with DNPX.

As a dietary supplement take 1 capsule in the morning.

Do not exceed more than 1 capsule at a time or 2 capsules in a 24 hour period.

The DMAA containing product is no longer on sale, and the alternative DMAA free product has now been rebranded with the original product name. However, some third party retailers are still selling the old stock of the DMAA-free formula, called Pro Supps’ DNPX II. This variety of formulas and product names means that whilst there are numerous reviews from customers, many of them are outdated, referring to either the original formula, or the DMAA containing formula.

Pro Supps’ DNPX Concerns:

  • No money back guarantee from manufacturer
  • Long list of potential side effects
  • Expensive product

What Does Pro Supps’ DNPX Claim To Do?

Prosupps’ DNPX is described as having the following properties:

  • Thermogenic amplifier
  • Intense focus
  • Mental clarity
  • Fat annihilator
  • Appetite suppressant

So What Is Pro Supps’ DNPX and What Are The Ingredients?

The ingredients list for DNPX is listed below. The quantities of each ingredient are per serving of a single capsule.

Prophedra Matrix (50 mg): A proprietary blend containing Tannins, Vasicinone, Casicine, Vascinol, Phyoterols and Mucins:

  • Tannins: A naturally occurring polyphenol. Has various anti-oxidant effects.
    Source:http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/9759559
  • Vasicinone: A weak stimulant.
  • Casicine
  • Vasicinol: ‘Vasicinol showed a high sucrase inhibitory activity’, meaning it inhibits the enzymes that break down sucrose, glucose and fructose (various sugars). This could minimise spikes in blood sugar levels.
    Source:http://www.chemfaces.com/natural/Vasicinol-CFN99009.html
  • Phyoterols
  • Mucins
  • N-Methyl tyramine (50 mg): Theoretically, it increases lipolysis, although tests in rats found the opposite. Also known to increase cAMP, which plays a role in the metabolism.
    Source:http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/N-Methyltyramine
  • Pikatropin (50 mg): More commonly known as Picamilon, it is used to treat anxiety, aid relaxation and increase energy. However, as these are potentially conflicting states of being, there is speculation that it may simply be placebo effect.
    Source:http://www.calmclinic.com/anxiety/drugs/picamilon
  • Alpha Yohimbine HCL (3 mg): Some studies have noticed increased blood concentrations of free fatty acids in participants who use yohimbine, suggesting increased rates of lipolysis. However, the Natural Medicines Comprehensive Database has stated that there is insufficient evidence to claim it aids in weight loss.
    Source:http://www.nlm.nih.gov/medlineplus/druginfo/natural/759.html
  • 3,5 Diiodo-L-Thyronine (100 mcg): Studies in rodents have shown that this ingredient affects energy and lipid (fat) metabolism in the body, although the same study revealed ‘potential cardiac effects’. Studies are needed in humans to accurately see its effects.
    Source:http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/25322465

DNPX (250 mg): Another proprietary formula, containing the following ingredients:

  • White willow extract: Willow bark contains salicin, which acts a painkiller, and is thought to be as effective as aspirin. There is some evidence that when taken in conjunction with kola nut and ephedra, it can cause weight loss. It does not seem to have been tested on its own for weight loss properties.
    Source:http://www.webmd.com/vitamins-supplements/ingredientmono-955-willow%20bark.aspx?activeingredientid=955&activeingredientname=willow%20bark
  • O-Methoxy Phenylethylamine: Thought to have stimulant effects, boosting the metabolism temporarily.
    Source:http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Phenethylamine
  • Beta Phenylethylamine: More commonly known as PEA, this ingredient is derived from the amino acid phenylalanine. It is thought to increase alertness, aid in concentration and focus, and may also enhance mood, which are all arguably traits that dieters need help with in succeeding with their weight loss attempts.
    Source:http://www.livestrong.com/article/306361-phenylethylamine-for-weight-loss/
  • 4-Hydroxyphenylethylamine: More commonly known as tyramine. Theoretically, it increases lipolysis, although tests in rats found the opposite. Also known to increase cAMP, which plays a role in the metabolism.
  • N.Dimethyl-hydroxyphenylethylamine: More commonly known as Hordenine. Hordenine is a known compound in Bitter Orange, and is thought to act as a stimulant to increase fat burning.
    Source:http://examine.com/supplements/Hordenine/
  • Black tea extract: A source of caffeine. Studies have also suggested that black tea leaves contain high levels of some polyphenols, which have caused weight loss in rats on high fat diets, by inhibiting absorption of fat from the intestines.
    Source:http://www.telegraph.co.uk/health/healthnews/8408416/Milk-in-tea-could-be-preventing-weight-loss.html
  • Cocoa Extract: Some people believe that cocoa extracts can help to boost the metabolism, but there is little clinical evidence to suggest it can make a significant impact to weight loss.
  • Thiamine Propyl Disulfide: A form of vitamin B1.
  • Thiamine Tetrahyfuuryl Disulfide: Found naturally in garlic, although can be lab-synthesised. Found to increase metabolism and physical performance in rats.
    Source:http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/19963160
  • 5-HTP: 5HTP is used by the body to make serotonin, which primarily plays a role in regulating mood. Some studies, primarily in animals, have shown that 5HTP reduces the appetite, as well as boosting mood.
    Source:http://examine.com/supplements/5-HTP/

So What Does All This Mean?

There is a huge variety of ingredients used in this diet pill. With some of the ingredients used in the Prophedra Matrix having no clear purpose, and very little information publicly available, it is difficult to establish just how this proprietary formula may affect the consumer.

There are numerous stimulant ingredients of various strengths used in this diet pill, which will boost the consumer’s metabolic rate, helping them to burn more calories throughout the day. 5-HTP is a mood booster and may be an appetite suppressant. A selection of the ingredients also help to boost energy levels, which will help to combat fatigue and provide extra energy for workouts.

N.Dimethyl-hydroxyphenylethylamine, also known as Hordenine, is a stimulant found in bitter orange extract; this and some of the other ingredients are stimulants, but may cause a variety of side effects. Yohimbine and tyramine can also cause a variety of side effects.

Does Pro Supps’ DNPX Have Any Side Effects?

Whilst the newest formula of Prosupps’ DNPX is much safer following the removal of both ephedra and DMAA, it still can cause side effects. Without any reviews of the current formula available, it is difficult to establish just how frequently these side effects do occur. Below we have listed some of the known side effects of the ingredients used in DNPX.

Hordenine is extracted from Bitter Orange: Side effects associated with the use of Bitter Orange extracts include increased heart rate and increased blood pressure, heart palpitations, fainting, and even heart attack and stroke in healthy patients. The Mayo Clinic has recommended avoiding use of Bitter Orange extracts because in their opinion, the risk of using the product is not worth the pay-off of some weight loss that could be achieved using other means.

Consumers should remember that the effects of hordenine are enhanced when combined with caffeine. Caffeine can lead to headaches, increased heart rate, increased blood pressure, heart palpitations, increased urination, dehydration, jitteriness, dizziness and insomnia. Stimulants in general can cause headaches, increased heart rate, increased blood pressure, heart palpitations and jitteriness, as well as increased sweating.

Yohimbe can cause a wide range of side effects, including stomach upset, excitation, tremor, sleep problems, anxiety or agitation, high blood pressure, a racing heartbeat, dizziness, stomach problems, drooling, sinus pain, irritability, headache, frequent urination, bloating, rash, nausea, and vomiting. High doses can cause more severe effects.

White willow bark can cause upset stomach, itching, rash and even allergic reactions. Those who are allergic to aspirin should not consume white willow bark because of its salicin content.

Whilst cocoa extracts are considered safe in general (hence its use as the primary ingredient in chocolate), it can cause allergic skin reactions, constipation, and might trigger migraine headaches. It can also cause digestive complaints including nausea, intestinal discomfort, stomach rumbling, and gas.

Caution:
Not for use by individuals under the age of 18 years.

Do not use if pregnant or nursing.Keep out of reach of children.

Do not consume this product if you have a medical condition and/or taking any prescription medication.

Do not exceed recommended servings.

Do not use this product if you are at risk or are being treated for high blood pressure, kidney, thyroid or psychiatric disease, anxiety, depression, seizure, enlarged prostate, or stroke.

Before beginning any supplement or training program always consult a physician first.

Not suitable for vegetarians.

Any Pro Supps’ DNPX Reviews From Customers?

As this product has had several formulas and product names over the years, there are numerous reviews from customers but many of them are outdated, referring to either the original formula, or the DMAA containing formula.

There is one customer review left on muscleandstrength.com, a third party retailer that offers the product.

I bought this mostly for the appetite suppressant. I recently decided to drop about 10 lbs and started running. I quickly realized that if i burn 350 calories running in the morning then I get so hungry that I’ll easily eat 500 calories more than normal. I was getting fatter while exercising more! I got this product to help me cut back on the calorie intake and so far it works. I have been taking it for 5 days and the down side is that it still makes me sick. I expected it to have an adverse effect for the first couple of days but I’m still very nauseous 5 days in.

So Does Pro Supps’ DNPX Work?

The ingredients list contains lots of stimulant ingredients, which will increase weight loss, but can also cause a variety of side effects, as detailed above. The diet pill does also contain some ingredients that may regulate the appetite slightly.

However, we do feel that the claim that using Pro Supps’ DNPX leads to an ‘utter annihilation of appetite’ is exaggerated. A selection of the ingredients will also boost alertness, mood and energy levels, all of which help to support the consumer whilst they are dieting.

Where Can I Buy Pro Supps’ DNPX?

DNPX is available from several different retailers, including from the manufacturer’s official website. Pro Supps offer a single bottle of 60 capsules for $69.99.

Each bottle will last for two month if used according to the instructions, although consumers can take up to two capsules per day; with this higher dose, a bottle would provide 30 days’ worth of the product.

From an online store called Muscle And Strength, a single serving sample is free, although delivery charges may apply. A bottle containing 60 capsules costs $30.68 plus delivery costs, a huge discount compared to the manufacturer’s price.

Pro Supps’ DNPX is also available from several suppliers through amazon.com. Prices range between $39.99 and $45.27, with various delivery charges applying depending upon the individual supplier.

What About A Guarantee

There is no money back guarantee for this product from Pro Supps. The official manufacturer does not even detail what their returns policy is.

Muscle and Strength offer returns on unopened and sealed products, regardless of when they were purchased from the company. They offer a 30 day returns period on opened products.

Watchdog Verdict

Pro Supps’ DNPX does appear to be a strong stimulant based thermogenic amplifier, as described. However, we feel that the claims made about its appetite suppressing abilities are exaggerate. The main problem we have with this diet pill is the potential side effects that could develop whilst using it.

There is a long list people who should not take this pill, and for health reasons the cautionary advice should be closely adhered to. The two proprietary formulas used in this diet pill make it more difficult to establish just how strong the product really is, as we do not know the quantities of many of the stimulant ingredients.

Because the formula for this product has changed several times, there is only one customer review that we could locate that is definitely for this version of the formula. All of the older reviews, of which there are many, are for older formulations of the product which are no longer available.

Pro Supps, who manufacture DNPX, provide no information about the returns policy, and do not seem to offer a money back guarantee. They also provide no information about how the product works, only stating what it is supposed to do.

There are several ingredients that have little or no information publically available about how they work, or even how they affect the body. These gaps in information, as well as the potential side effects, mean that we cannot recommend Pro Supps’ DNPX to our readers.

Greenceutics Green Pura Facts

  • Manufactured by Greenceutics
  • 60 capsules per bottle
  • Green tea extract

Greenceutics Green Pura is a green tea extract manufactured by Greenceutics and sold exclusively through amazon. Whilst third party sources suggest that the company used to have an official website, it appears to be no longer active. The same third party sources also suggest that this product contains 300 mg of green tea extract, with no other active ingredients.

This could not be verified as no ingredients list is provided on the sales page, and the company provides no contact information. It appears that this is the only product that Greenceutics manufacture.

Greenceutics Green Pura Concerns:

  • No money back guarantee
  • No company information or contact details
  • No ingredients list or quantities provided

What Does Greenceutics Green Pura Claim To Do?

The manufacturers of Greenceutics Green Pura claim that it has the following features:

  • Green Tea Extract Diet Pill for Weight Loss
  • Powerful Fat Burning Properties
  • Increases Metabolism
  • Antioxidant Properties

So What Is Greenceutics Green Pura and What Are The Ingredients?

It appears that the single active ingredient in Greenceutics Green Pura is green tea extract. Ingredient quantities are not provided, although third party reviewers state that each capsule contains 300 mg of the extract.

  • Green tea extract: Green tea is high in a group of antioxidants called catechins. Studies have suggested that catechins and caffeine both increase energy expenditure by boosting the metabolism slightly for few hours.
    Source:http://ajcn.nutrition.org/content/70/6/1040.full

So What Does All This Mean?

Green tea contains both catechins and caffeine. Catechins, especially EGCG, are thought to increase thermogenesis in the body, raising the temperature of the body and therefore burning more calories. Caffeine is known to directly boost the body’s metabolic rate slightly for a few hours after consumption. Both these effects will cause the body to burn more calories, but clinical studies do suggest that the effects are ‘small but significant’.

Studies also show that the effect is so small that it is easily counteracted by a poor diet, and so will only benefit people who are also following a calorie restricted diet.

As green tea is the only ingredient in Greenceutics Green Pura, the diet pill is unlikely to have a significant effect upon weight loss. There is no information available stating the composition of the extract used, and so it is even more difficult to compare this product to the relevant clinical studies.

Does Greenceutics Green Pura Have Any Side Effects?

No potential side effects are listed by the manufacturer. Green tea is the only ingredient used in this product. Side effects of consuming green tea are primarily linked with the caffeine that is naturally present in green tea. Consuming caffeine can cause headaches, increased urination, dehydration, jitteriness, increased heart rate, increased blood pressure, heart palpitations and problems sleeping.

Caution:
Not suitable for pregnant or breastfeeding women or those under the age of 18.

Consult your doctor if you are unsure about the suitability of using this supplement before purchasing.

Any Greenceutics Green Pura Reviews From Customers?

Because the product is sold on Amazon, we were a significant number of customer reviews. Whilst many of them are positive, we and some other customers have concerns that a large number of them may be fake.

These are all fake reviews because when I checked out the other reviews for the “people” that reviewed this product they all have reviews for the exact same items on their recent activity. That is a pretty big coincidence if you ask me.

I’ve got this from a friend and it did not work for me. Since I didn’t know how long my friend had the bottle for I thought I’d order more to try some to make sure it was that one bottle or just the product in general. Overall, it doesn’t really work for me, I’m going to be trying now brand of extract to see if that works.

Doesn’t work. I don’t feel energized or losing any weight.

There are far more positive reviews than negative reviews for this product. However, almost none of the positive reviews are from verified purchases. The positive reviews below are from verified customers. They tend to mention an energy boost, but neglect to mention any weight changes.

Gives me energy I like the natural ingredients and love the antioxidant support.

Works well for energy.

I was a big zenergreen fan and have been searching for a replacement since I have been unable to find it for sale. This product fills the void but it isn’t quite as smooth on my stomach as the first product mentioned was. On the plus side it does make me feel good, not sure about the weight loss.

I purchased these because the reviews were great…I followed the directions and noted no significant difference. Then I started to take an additional pill. That was the trick…they work great now and I recommend them. Just need to be cognizant of the fact you may need to adjust dosage for personal use.

So Does Greenceutics Green Pura Work?

The sales page for this product states that Greenceutics Green Pura is a ‘Revolutionary yet powerful green tea extract diet pill’. We fail to see how this product is revolutionary, considering there are many diet pills containing green tea extract on the market.

Whilst green tea is known to mildly boost the metabolism and increase thermogenesis, it is still considered to be a moderate weight loss aid, with small weight loss results at best. Without knowing the strength of the extract, especially the quantities of certain polyphenols, catechins and caffeine, it is impossible to directly compare this product to other green tea extracts, or to establish its potential effectiveness.

However we can speculate that it may cause a very mild effect overall. Some studies suggest that green tea can also reduce the appetite, although we feel that the claims that it will ‘reduce the appetite by as much as 60% by reducing food cravings and preventing overeating’ are exaggerated.

Where Can I Buy Greenceutics Green Pura?

This product is available exclusively on amazon at a price of $14.99 per bottle, plus delivery costs. It is listed under the description ‘Green Tea Extract Diet Pill for Weight Loss, Fat Burn, Increased Metabolism, & Antioxidant’, but a search for Greenceutics will also lead to the same page.

What About A Guarantee

There appears to be a 100% satisfaction guarantee on the product. However, this is only mentioned in the pictures of the product on amazon, and is not detailed anywhere else on the sales page. As there is no way of contacting the company except through amazon, consumers may want to establish the accuracy of this guarantee before ordering.

Watchdog Verdict

The product itself may seem relatively cheap for a diet pill, but considering that it contains only one ingredient, it is actually a fairly expensive green tea extract. As Greenceutics Green Pura has only a single ingredient, it does not appear to be very strong or effective at aiding weight loss.

The only ingredient is clinically proven to boost the metabolism, but is also not very strong, and so is likely to have a minimal effect upon weight loss when not combined with other common diet pill ingredients.

The manufacturers of Greenceutics Green Pura also have a dubious background; With no official website and no information available about the company, it is difficult to establish how trustworthy they are. They state that they offer a 100% satisfaction guarantee in one promotional picture, but this is not verified elsewhere.

There is also no contact information available for Greenceutics. As some of the reviews for the product appear to be fake, it may be that the company itself has been posting these fraudulent reviews, in hopes of boosting sales figures.

Overall, we are not impressed with Greenceutics Green Pura, as it appears to be an overhyped green tea extract. Its use will not dramatically increase weight loss, and the product is not revolutionary, despite the claims made by the manufacturers.

They produce a range of supplements, primarily targeted at weight loss. The company can be contacted by the details provided on their official website.

Shapeology 15 Day Cleanse is not a weight loss aid, and is not promoted as such by the manufacturer. The benefits of using colon cleansing products such as this one is greatly debated by medical professionals and fans of herbal products. What Does Shapeology 15 Day Cleanse Claim To Do?

Shapeology 15 day cleanse is described as ‘a soft cleanse for renewed health’. The manufacturers have provided the following description on their official website:

PERIODIC USE: 15-Day Cleanse uses a powerful formula to help keep your body detoxified for 6 – 8 weeks at a time. No need for daily cleansing.

So What Is Shapeology 15 Day Cleanse and What Are The Ingredients?

Below is a list of the ingredients used in Shapeology 15 Day Cleanse capsules. The quantities provided are per serving of a single capsule.

So What Does All This Mean?

With several different laxative ingredients, it is clear that this product would increase bowel movements or even cause diarrhoea. The quantities used in this cleansing product are significantly lower than we have seen in other products; many other stronger cleansing products require the use of four capsules per day, where as consumers of this product are instructed to take only one or two capsules per day.

This likely means that it is not the strongest product. However, this does not mean that the product will be ineffective, as even small quantities of laxative ingredients can make a noticeable difference to bowel movements.

The actual value and necessity of detoxing is heavily debated by medical professionals, with many doctors openly stating that the body does a good enough job of detoxing on its own naturally, and that additional help in the form of colon cleanses is not required.

Does Shapeology 15 Day Cleanse Have Any Side Effects?

The use of Cleansing products such as Shapeology 15 day cleanse can lead to a variety of side effects, especially if the consumer does not drink enough water, or takes the product for a prolonged period of time. Some of the ingredients in Shapeology 15 day cleanse can cause specific side effects, whilst the use of laxatives in general can cause problems as well.

Cascara Sagrada can cause stomach discomfort and cramps. Long term use (longer than one or two weeks of continuous use) can lead to more serious side effects including dehydration, low levels of potassium, sodium, chloride, and other electrolytes in the blood, heart problems and muscle weakness.

Senna can cause increased bowel movements, diarrhoea, and stomach cramps. Licorice can cause water retention and bloating, as well as lowered potassium levels and high blood pressure.

The most common side effect of a colon cleanse such as Shapeology 15 Day Cleanse is a change in bowel habits. Some people may experience frequent loose stools and increased bowel movements, while others may find that their bowel movements stop completely. Dehydration is also a common side effect, as the body is expelling more water both through increased urination and moving more water into stools. Headaches and constipation are two side effects that may occur due to dehydration. Some people may experience diarrhoea, depending upon their own diet as well as the strength of the product they are using.

Over-reliance upon laxatives can also cause dependency, as the muscles in the colon become weaker. This is one of the main reasons why the product is only for occasional or short term use.

In general, side effects of a detox are temporary, and will only last whilst the product is being used. Side effects can be minimised by drinking plenty of water throughout the day (rather than a large amount all at once), and altering the dosage of the product used. Altering your diet may also help, by increasing the amount of high-fibre foods, fruit and vegetables that are being eaten daily.

Perhaps the most serious worry of using Colon Cleanse products is that they can cause an electrolyte imbalance in the body. Calcium, chlorine, magnesium, phosphate, potassium, and sodium are all obtained from fluids, supplements, and foods, but increasing fluid output can decrease their levels in the body- even sweating due to exercise can significantly lower electrolyte levels.

Side effects of low levels of electrolytes include muscle cramps, dizziness, fatigue, nausea, vomiting, trembling, muscle weakness, and stiff or aching joints. In the most severe cases, more serious symptoms can occur, such as low blood pressure, tachycardia (rapid heart rate), sunken eyes, confusion or loss of consciousness for even a brief moment, and poor skin elasticity. If any of these occur, a medical professional should be consulted immediately.

Caution:
Do not exceed recommended dose.

This product contains senna leaves and cascara sagrada. T

his product is not intended for pregnant or nursing mothers or children under the age of 18.

Do not use this product if you have abdominal pain, diarrhoea or loose stools. Rectal bleeding and/or failure to have a bowel movement after the use of a laxative formula may be an indication of a more serious condition. Should this occur, or if you have a known medical condition and are taking medication, consult your physician prior to taking this or any dietary supplement.

This product is manufactured and packaged in a facility which may also process milk, soy, wheat, egg, peanuts, tree nuts, fish, and crustacean shellfish.

Keep out of reach of children. Do not use if safety seal is damaged or missing. Store in a cool, dry place.

Any Shapeology 15 Day Cleanse Reviews From Customers?

We located two reviews of Shapeology 15 Day Cleanse left by customers on a third party online retailer’s website.

I bought this with the intent to do the whole 15 day cleanse. I started on a Sunday and only made it to Thursday. It will truly get your insides moving and clean you out. In the 5 days I took the supplement, I lost 3 pounds. Make sure you drink plenty of fluids so you don’t get dehydrated. Also, make sure you don’t have super busy days while taking this. The “urge to go” hit me suddenly and urgently about 5 times a day. I look forward to the next cycle of cleansing in a few months. This product works great!

I first tried this product not sure what to expect but it was very gentle on the system. I would recommend this product for periodic cleanses.

So Does Shapeology 15 Day Cleanse Work?

The customer reviews and ingredients both suggest that this product is an effective cleansing product that will increase bowel movements. Whilst one review does mention that they lost weight whilst using this product, we do not feel that Shapeology 15 Day Cleanse is an effective weight loss supplement. Any weight loss during a cleansing period will be temporary weight loss, from loss of water weight and increased bowel movements.

Because cleansing products such as this do not affect the fat or muscle in the body, the weight will often be regained as consumers regain their normal diet.

Whilst continuing to use this product in the long term may help to reduce bloating and may help to create a slimmer silhouette, at least around the stomach area, we strongly recommend against this. Long term use of cleanse products is not only inconvenient, but also can have serious negative effects upon the health of the consumer, as detailed in the side effects section above.

Where Can I Buy Shapeology 15 Day Cleanse?

Shapeology 15 day cleanse is available from numerous different online retailers, including from the official manufacturer’s website. The manufacturer sells a single bottle for $29.99.

Healthierary also offers a single bottle for the same price of $29.99 plus delivery charges. They offer some discounts occasionally, which are displayed at the top of the website.

From Buku Box, another online retailer, the same bottle costs $19.99 plus delivery charges.

What About A Guarantee

There is no money back guarantee offered by the manufacturer. Their returns policy is hidden amongst the privacy policy, and is fairly unclear. However, it does seem that some returns are allowed, provided the product is still sealed.

Watchdog Verdict

Cleansing products such as Shapeology 15 Day Cleanse are not weight loss aids, despite some consumers using them for quick and temporary weight loss. Shapeology 15 Day Cleanse is also unsuitable for long term use, and can cause a variety of unpleasant and even serious side effects.

The manufacturer offers no money back guarantee for the product, and their returns policy is unclear.

The actual benefits of colon cleansing products is highly debated; there are many people who are big fans of products such as these. However, many medical professionals state that their use is pointless, as the body regulates itself efficiently in removing waste and toxins.

This product could be used occasionally as stated, to help to treat constipation with natural laxatives. We do not recommend this product for weight loss, and definitely not for long term use.

Apex-TX5 Review

Apex-TX5 Facts

  • Manufactured by Intechra Health
  • 120 capsules per bottle
  • Thermogenic fat burner

Apex-TX5 is marketed as a thermogenic weight loss aid that also suppresses the appetite, promising ‘rapid fat loss’. It is manufactured by an American company called Intechra Health, who offer a variety of weight loss aids, all promising dramatic weight loss.

How to Take Apex-TX5

Take two tablets of APEX-TX5 twice daily with food.

This product is intended to be used along with a calorie-reduced diet and regular exercise program.

Do not take within 5 hours of sleep.

The company can be contacted via the details listed on their official website.

Each bottle contains 120 capsules, and so should last for one month when used at this dosage.

Apex-TX5 Concerns:

  • No money back guarantee
  • No returns allowed
  • Some side effects are possible

What Does Apex-TX5 Claim To Do?

The manufacturers make the following claims about Apex-TX5:

Apex-TX5 supercharges your metabolic rate to make sure that when you make a solid effort to burn the excess fat off your body, you’ll be rewarded for your labours. You’ll burn far more fat and calories throughout every day and night, for a difference you can see.

  • Instantly increased energy
  • Appetite suppression & food craving busting
  • Mood support for superior diet control

The company also uses dramatic statements such as,

Skyrockets the metabolism to never-before seen levels.

and,

Shrinks overall body fat percentage giving awesome definition to muscles underneath.

So What Is Apex-TX5 and What Are The Ingredients?

The ingredients used in Apex-TX5 are listed below. The diet pill contains a proprietary formula, and so no individual ingredients are provided. The ingredients are also only listed in an explanation of how the product works, and so may not even be a complete ingredients profile.

  • Acetyl-L-Carnitine HCl: There is some evidence that supplementation acetyl-l-carnitine can reduce body fat, although the strongest results were seen in the elderly. The ingredient also boosts energy levels, and is used to treat fatigue.
    Source:http://examine.com/supplements/L-Carnitine/
  • Caffeine Anhydrous (1,3,7-trimethylxanthine): Numerous studies have shown that caffeine boosts energy levels and alertness, as well as mildly boosting the metabolism. The effects shown in studies are small, and some studies are inconclusive.
    Source:http://www.mayoclinic.org/healthy-living/weight-loss/expert-answers/caffeine/faq-20058459
  • Beta-Phenylethylamine HCl: More commonly known as PEA, this ingredient is thought to increase alertness, aid in concentration and focus, and may also enhance mood. These are all arguably traits that dieters need help with in succeeding with their weight loss attempts.
    Source:http://www.livestrong.com/article/306361-phenylethylamine-for-weight-loss/
  • L-Tyrosine: Some people use L-Tyrosine as an appetite suppressant, but there is little clinical evidence that it is effective for this use. Large doses of tyrosine may be useful for increasing alertness, especially in people who are sleep deprived.
    Source:http://www.webmd.com/vitamins-supplements/ingredientmono-1037-TYROSINE.aspx?activeIngredientId=1037&activeIngredientName=TYROSINE
  • Theobromine: Found in cocoa beans, this is a mild stimulant and mild diuretic. However, it is thought to be much weaker than caffeine, and so is unlikely to make much of an impact to weight loss efforts.
    Source:http://www.livestrong.com/article/342121-theobromine-weight-loss/
    • So What Does All This Mean?

Without knowing the ingredient quantities used in this diet pill, it is difficult to establish just how strong the product is.

Numerous ingredients in this diet pill will boost energy levels and reduce fatigue. L-Tyrosine is thought to be an appetite suppressant, but there is little clinical evidence to support this.

Caffeine and theobromine are both stimulants, but are not very strong. They may increase the consumer’s metabolic rate moderately, but this small increase is unlikely to result in dramatic weight loss.

Does Apex-TX5 Have Any Side Effects?

The manufacturers make the following statement about potential side effects that could be cause by consuming Apex-TX5: When taken as directed, there should not be any side effects. However, some people who are sensitive to stimulants may become excited and/or jittery. As with any product, there is always the possibility of an allergic reaction to one of the ingredients.

If you have any unusual symptoms when taking this product, discontinue its use right away. If symptoms are severe, please seek medical attention.

Going through the ingredients individually, we have identified a range of possible side effects that could occur whilst taking this diet pill.

Significant quantities of caffeine can cause side effects such as headaches, increased urination, dehydration, jitteriness, increased heart rate, increased blood pressure, heart palpitations and problems sleeping.

Carnitine supplements can cause a variety of side effects, including nausea, vomiting, stomach pain, weakness, and chest pain. They can also cause a “fishy” odour of the urine, breath, and sweat.

Tyrosine can cause side effects including nausea, headache, fatigue, heartburn, and joint pain.

      Caution:
This product is not intended for pregnant or nursing mothers, women trying to become pregnant, children under the age of 18, or individuals taking prescription drugs.

Consult a Physician before using this product if you have, or have a family history of, including but not limited to Phenylketonuria, high blood pressure, cardiac arrhythmias, heart, liver, kidney, thyroid, or psychiatric disease, pheochromocytoma, diabetes, asthma, recurrent headaches, anemia, nervousness, anxiety, depression or other psychiatric condition, peptic ulcers, Parkinson’s disease, glaucoma, difficulty in urinating, prostate enlargement, or seizure disorder, or if you are using any other dietary supplement or over-the-counter drug containing ephedrine, pseudo- ephedrine, or phenylpropanolamine (ingredients found in certain allergy, asthma, cough or cold, and weight control products).

Do not use this product if you are using a monoamine oxidase inhibitor (MAOI), anticoagulant or antiplatelet medications, or any other prescription drug.

Discontinue use and call a physician or licensed qualified health care professional immediately if you experience rapid heartbeat, dizziness, severe headache, shortness of breath, or other similar symptoms.

Individuals who consume caffeine with this product may experience serious adverse health effects and those that are sensitive to the effects of caffeine should consult a Physician before consuming this product.

Improper use of this product may be hazardous to a person’s health.

      Any Apex-TX5 Reviews From Customers?

There are numerous reviews for this product on amazon. Whilst the majority are positive, there are also a number of people who were dissatisfied with the product.

      Did absolutely nothing for me.

Don’t bother buying this product!!! I think people were paid to write positive reviews about this product, I did not feel any different when taking this, nor did it give me more energy. I did a test and took the pills one day and none the next. I felt no different…only losing weight by drastically cutting my calories! This is a scam!!!

I had high hopes based on other reviews of this product, but it just didn’t do anything for me. My appetite did not change and I’ve had no weight loss. I wish I would have done more research before ordering.

Despite these negative reviews, the majority of customers appear to be pleased with the product. Some reviewers have doubted the validity of these reviews, but most appear to be verified purchases made through amazon. Whilst this is not an infallible system, it does suggest that at least some of these positive reviews are authentic.

I am actually really surprised at how much it curved my appetite. I literally am not hungry but I do eat. I get full very easily, I don’t have to eat as much as I did before taking these pills. That’s one major thing that is helping me lose weight. I’m down almost 5 pounds for this week. So I think that’s pretty amazing…Also, I’m so so glad that these pills didn’t give me a headache or make me feel shaky. So many pills before have given me awful side effects. They give me a good boost of energy! I’m on my feet at work (being a server) and I’m just on the go go go. I don’t get as tired or worn out. The only thing I noticed is that since I do have much more energy than before, I’ve been up a little later than normal. It suggests to not take them less than 5 hours before bedtime. I’ve followed that but it seems to keep me awake for longer than normal. So far, I’m happy and pleased with the purchase because 1) it curved MY appetite. 2) I didn’t get any negative side effects. 3) it gave me the right amount of needed energy! I know everyone’s different so you may or may not get similar results. I’m happy though!

One mixed review shows how this product appears to work for some people but not others:

They are not working for me. I feel no different. My sister on the other hand is full of energy and isn’t hungry.

      So Does Apex-TX5 Work?

The reviews are mixed, but most of them generally agree that this diet pill does boost energy levels. Some people have also noticed some weight loss.

The ingredients do suggest that this could be a mild weight loss aid that could boost energy levels and mildly increase the metabolic rate of the consumer. When combined with a calorie controlled diet, this could lead to weight loss in the long term.

However, we do not believe that this product is anywhere near as strong as the manufacturers describe in their marketing. We also believe that the product is not going to be a strong appetite suppressant, as the only ingredient used for appetite suppression had almost no clinical support.

The fact that no ingredient quantities are provided makes it more difficult to establish the effectiveness of this diet pill.

      Where Can I Buy Apex-TX5?

Apex-TX5 can be purchased from either the official manufacturer’s website or amazon. From amazon a single bottle of 120 capsules costs $48.75 plus delivery costs.

The official manufacturer offers a number of different discounts for bulk purchases. A single bottle costs $48, whilst two bottles cost $89. Three bottles are on offer for $119, whilst the largest bulk package of six bottles is available for $199. The three and six bottle packages both come with free delivery. Delivery costs are based upon the location of the consumer.

      What About A Guarantee

No money back guarantee is offered by the manufacturer. In fact, their official website states that

All products sold by the Web Site (intechrahealth.com) are NON-REFUNDABLE and NON-RETURNABLE.

      Watchdog Verdict

With absolutely no returns accepted by the manufacturer, we are sceptical about Intechra Health’s confidence in their own product range. The company also fail to reveal the quantities used in Apex-TX5, or even provide a total quantity of ingredients used in the proprietary formula.

The ingredients that are listed by the manufacturer are well known and are commonly used in diet pills. However, in this particular formulation, caffeine appears to be the strongest metabolism boosting ingredient. Considering that caffeine is considered to only have a small but significant effect upon the body, Apex-TX5 may not be a strong weight loss aid.

The claims made by the manufacturer are exaggerated dramatically, with outlandish statements such as ‘Skyrockets the metabolism to never-before seen levels’.

Overall, we cannot recommend this product as it is simply not strong enough to make a significant difference to weight loss.

These days liking on Facebook and saying nice things about a service or product is a big part of advertising and one that all companies take very seriously.

The feedback phenomenon stated back in the 90s with eBay and the all important customer feedback comments that were left for every eBay seller.

      Amazon.com Sign

Today customer feedback comments have become part of life. Everyone does it. From booking a holiday as with Tripadvisor finding a plumber, or buying a diet pill online.

We all look at the feedback comments and tend to trust the opinions of our fellow customers. Many of us leave reviews ourselves.

When it comes to buying weight loss supplements from Amazon, it can be a mistake to take customer feedback comments at face value. Some supplement companies post fake positive reviews to create the right impression and these can be easy to miss.

With some supplements, the only genuine reviews are negative reviews but even then, you have to be careful. Rival supplement companies are not above dropping the odd negative review for a rival company.

Customer feedback can be a minefield of misinformation! If you want to make sure that your online purchase is not a turkey you have to pick through the customer feedback very carefully.

      So what can you do?

Check out whether the review has been left for a verified purchase. Amazon show this clearly at the top of the customer review and if the reviewer does not appear to have even bought the supplement they are raving about, you need to ask yourself why anyone would bother to do that?

Take a look at the reviewers past history. Have they reviewed anything before? If they do have some history, have they left a bunch of reviews on the same day? With most fake reviewers, you often see a pattern of product reviews posted on the same day. In most cases, other fake reviewers will have left reviews for exactly the same products. It is easy to spot but only if you are looking for it!

Take a look at the negative feedback first. All products generate some negative feedback and even good products will get complaints. However, you can see if the same side effects are mentioned and if there is a major feedback scam going on, in many cases a customer who has fallen for it, will be so angry he or she will highlight the problem.

There are some great products out there that come with some glowing positive feedback. But to make sure you don’t waste your money, take a few minutes to look into the feedback comments before you commit to buy.

If you are looking for a way to incinerate belly fat and power up your energy levels, Trimthin X 700 looks to tick all the right boxes. This US made supplement seems popular with customers who have raved about these red capsules.

We take a closer look at Trimthin X700 to find out more about this supplement.

      Trimthin X700 Pros

      • Contains green tea, caffeine and DMAE

      Trimthin X700 Cons

      • Insufficient ingredients information. Just how much of anything is contained in this supplement?
      • No directions about safety or advice about how to take this supplement
      • Comes with some misleading claims about clinical evidence

      Trimthin X700 Review

      Trimthin X700 Facts

      • Made by US company Intechra Health
      • Each bottle contains 120 capsules
      • Customer feedback is likely fake

Trimthin X 700 is a fat burner that is immediately identifiable by the big red capsule form of the supplement. You are certainly not going to get this diet pill mixed up with any other tablet or pills in your cabinet!

However, you will need to ensure you keep it away from small children because the bright colour could make it look like a sweet!

Trimthin X700 contains 700mg of active ingredients in what the advertising describes as the Trimthin X700 complex.

This is a proprietary blend, which means you cannot see the full ingredients breakdown. However, each serving contains 100mg of caffeine although the individual quantities of the other ingredients are not provided. This is usual with some fat burning diet pills and although we wish companies would not do this because it is extremely unhelpful for customers, this practice is not going to cease until it is stopped by law.

Trimthin X 700 includes caffeine for its stimulant effect, DMAE a natural compound that is believed to increase feelings of alertness and energy and Green tea extract known for its positive effects upon the metabolism. There is evidence that caffeine and green tea combined can increase weight loss so this can be a good mix.

Other ingredients include CLA (conjugated Linoleic acid) a natural amino acid present in meat and dairy products and believed to help convert fat into muscle. This ingredient is popular with body builders looking to build muscle.

Trimthin X700 also contains some more unusual ingredients such as Siberian Ginseng (Eleuthero) which comes with some unpredictable effects – not all of them good and Cnidium Monniera. This Chinese herbal extract is becoming increasingly popular in supplements and has been touted for its ability to cure sexual problems but the only proven advantage is that it can be effective as a treatment for skin complaints.

It also contains Xanthinol Nicotinate a B3 compound that can widen blood vessels and is sometimes used for cardiovascular treatment. The final ingredient is Green coffee bean extract, which is believed to burn fat but lacks any kind of evidence that it will!

Looking at this ingredients list, we can see both positive and negative points about the formula. Some of the ingredients such as green tea, caffeine and DMAE can work well together when used in the right quantities. However, this supplement may cause unpredictable side effects and without knowing the full ingredients information, it is hard to judge this supplements strength.

There is no information about how to take this supplement. Two capsules is equal to one serving but it is unclear whether you are supposed to taken them together or separately. This basic information should have been provided.

Trimthin X700 is supplied by Intechra Health Innovative Health Solutions. This company market a wide range of OTC supplements, many advertised as being legal alternatives to notorious prescription diet pill Phentermine.

      These include:

Intechra Health also market a different version of Trimthin X700, called simply Trimthin SR that is marketed as a legal alternative to Phentermine.

Trimthin SR has a very different ingredient profile to Trimthin X700 and there appears to be no connection between these two Trimthin supplements.

One good point about Intechra supplements is that they come with the assurance that they are made in the USA in a facility that conforms to GMP (good manufacturing practice). Not so good is that Intechra Health do not publicise the company address. You can contact the company via a toll free phone number or by email but they are not very transparent about their real location.

      Trimthin X700 Concerns:

      • The side effects. This supplement contains untested ingredients in unknown quantities and may cause cardiac problems
      • If this supplement really worked, Intechra Health would not need to manipulate feedback
      • How do you take this supplement? There are no directions for use

What Does Trimthin X700 Claim To Do?

According to the advertising, there are five key points to Trimthin X700.

      This supplement will:

      • INCINERATE BELLY FAT and Drop Inches From Your Waist
      • PREVENT FAT ACCUMULATION For More Rapid and Lasting Results
      • POWER UP YOUR ENERGY LEVELS for a More Active Life
      • DRIVE YOUR METABOLISM to Burn Fat All Day Long
      • STAY MOTIVATED So You Reach Your Goal, No Matter How Big

Trimthin X700 is ‘Formulated with the most powerful, clinically-proven ingredients’ so you can,

BLAST AWAY STUBBORN FAT AND DISCOVER YOUR MOVIE STAR SELF.

There is information about the various ingredients provided on the website. Each one has an explanation about how it is supposed to work and Intechra have cited the relevant clinical evidence to prove the point.

This is helpful but it is important to remember that clinical testing is often carried out on animals or as lab experiments under glass so does not necessarily transfer to humans.

In addition, a good clinical test is always specific about test conditions and amount quantities – information not provided by the ingredients information. Not every clinical test proves that an ingredient works.

So What Is Trimthin X700 and What Are The Ingredients?

Trimthin X700 is a fat burner diet pill. Each serving is equal to two capsules and adds up to 700mg of active ingredients. We cannot provide a full ingredients breakdown because this information is not provided by Intechra Health. However, each serving contains 100mg caffeine.

      Trimthin 700X Complex

      • DMAE (Dimethylaminoethanol) Bitartate: According to the product information, this dietary supplement is known to function within the body by improving the nerve membrane function and there is strong evidence that this ingredient can help improve mood and mental function. The benefits for weight loss are that it can help keep your mood positive and focused on your diet. One study published by the European Journal of Medical Research and carried out on 80 subjects found that DMAE induced feelings of wellbeing and positivity.
        Source:http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/12844472
      • Caffeine Anhydrous (100mg): White crystallised form of caffeine but otherwise the same as you find in an ordinary cup of coffee. As the product information states, Some Evidence says that caffeine can induce fat burning (thermogenesis). However, other clinical research suggests that this can wear off once you become accustomed to the effects. After all, there are a lot of overweight coffee drinkers so this fat burning effect obviously does not work for everyone. 100mg of caffeine is equivalent to one cup of filter coffee.
        Source:http://www.kantonslabor-bs.ch/files/infos/e_coffeinkaffee.pdf
      • Green tea leaf extract: There have been numerous clinical tests into green tea, and as the product information suggests, this natural tea can be effective for weight loss and fat burning. One test found that when combined with cardiovascular exercise, “green tea extract may play a role in the control of body composition via sympathetic activation of thermogenesis, fat oxidation, or both.” It also combines well with added caffeine.
        Source:http://ajcn.nutrition.org/content/70/6/1040.short
      • Green coffee bean extract: This ingredient is believed to inhibit the absorption of fat but the many claims about this so called miracle ingredient have been based on seriously flawed clinical testing methods, which have now been retracted. This has not stopped Intechra from referencing the disgraced trial reported by Joe Vinson and Bryan Burnham as evidence that this ingredient works. It does not. To find out more about green coffee see our Watchdog investigation.
        Source:http://www.dietpillswatchdog.com/shocking-truth-research-behind-green-coffee-bean/
      • CLA (Conjugated Linoleic Acid): This is a type of Linoleic acid isomer that is found naturally in number of sources, but derived primarily from meat and dairy products. It is a source of omega 6 but medical opinion is that this substance is unnecessary in supplement form if you have a balanced diet.
      • Siberian Ginseng: This natural plant is not actually related to ginseng but is a plant extract called Eleuthero, which is often taken in Russia for an OTC depression remedy. It is an adaptogen, which means that it can improve general health and wellbeing. However, there are safety concerns around side effects and it can cause a range of heart issues.
      • Xanthinol Nicotinate: Potent form of Niacin (vitamin B3) that is known to improve blood flow – it is a vasodilator which also applies to improving blood flow to the brain and as a result may increase concentration and mental function.
        Source:https://uk.answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20090127075151AAzBt1m
      • Cnidium Monniera: Chinese plant sometimes taken to enhance sexual performance, treat fertility problems and help bodybuilding. However, there is no evidence that it will do any of these. Its most useful application in Chinese medicine is as a treatment for skin complaints.

So What Does All This Mean?

There are some good points about Trimthin X700. We like the green tea caffeine combination and there is strong evidence that DMAE can improve mood and alertness. However, we are concerned about the Siberian Ginseng because it is known for causing side effects and it can be very unpredictable. Cnidium has not been tested for safety when taken internally.

We would be cautious about taking these ingredients in unknown quantities and although the product advertising makes a lot of claims, none of these are proven to work.

Does Trimthin X700 Have Any Side Effects?

Trimthin X700 may cause side effects and Intechra should have provided some health warnings to alert customers to possible risk.

      Potential side effects may include:

      • Headaches
      • Nausea
      • Jitteriness
      • Pounding heart
      • Palpitations
      • Increased blood pressure
      • Changes to blood sugar levels
      • Insomnia

      Caution:
Not suitable for individuals under 18 years old.

Avoid if you are pregnant or breast feeding.

Avoid if you have a medical condition – especially related to heart and blood pressure.

Do not take if you are taking prescription medication in case of interactions.

Trimthin X700 is not suitable for use if you suffer from a mental health issue such as depression or schizophrenia.

Do not take if you are sensitive to stimulants.

Any Trimthin X700 Reviews From Customers?

There are customer reviews for Trimthin X700 and although to date there are less than 50 reviews the majority of these are extremely positive.

However if you take away the customers who have not actually bought this supplement, the number of positive reviews is greatly reduced. We counted and out of 38 five star reviews, only five customers appear to have actually bought this supplement.

      One satisfied customer reported,

I swear I sweat like a pig with Trimthin! It is okay for me because personally like the feeling that I am burning more. Love the feeling of energy that it gives!

      Another verified customer said,

I take 2 pills in the morning and my hunger is suppressed all day. This is a good product to battle hunger pains.

Some of the positive feedback looks too good to be true and bearing in mind that very few reviewers have even bought this supplement, it all starts looking a bit fishy. Here is a typical example,

Finally! A product that cares a lot about results; this product works as advertised. It burns stubborn abdominal fat, reduces body fat percentage, speed up metabolism, prevents fat accumulation and lowers appetite!

If this customer loved the product so much it seems suspicious he did not actually bother to buy it. We do not believe all the feedback.

      So Does Trimthin X700 Work?

It may work a bit but don’t count on it. You cannot believe the feedback – it does not look genuine and there is very little evidence that this supplement will work in the way as described.

Most of the ingredients lack evidence that they will really work for weight loss and without knowing ingredient strengths it is hard to gauge whether or not there will be side effects.

Cnidium for example is best known as an ingredient in a skin cream. There is just no evidence that it will have an “anti adipogenic effect (fat burning) effect as claimed by Intechra Health.

Although the Trimthin x700 advertising links to a so-called clinical trial, this lab experiment simply reveals that a chromosome has been identified in the lab. It has not been tested on animals or on humans, It is not clinically proven. It has one preliminary test, which does not prove anything.

Where Can I Buy Trimthin X700?

You can buy Trimthin X700 from the Intechra Health website.
One bottle of 120 capsules (30 days supply) costs $39.00 plus $8.95 shipping.

You can make savings on larger orders. 2 bottles costs $69.00 plus $8.95 shipping.

3 bottles of Trimthin X700 costs $99.00 and includes free US shipping and a free bottle of Trimthin SR as a gift. 6 bottles costs $169.00 and also includes free shipping and a free bottle of Trimthin SR.

You can also buy Trimthin X700 via Amazon. One 120 capsule bottle of Trimthin X700 costs $29.50 plus shipping.

Trimthin X700 is not available direct to customers outside the USA.

      What About A Guarantee

There is no guarantee with Trimthin X700.

      Watchdog Verdict

We do not rate Trimthin X700 very highly. The ingredients are masked under a proprietary blend so it is difficult for customers to see what they are actually buying and this could be potentially dangerous for some users.

The Trimthin product information is very misleading about clinical evidence. Not all the ingredients are proven to work and many such as Cnidium have only had preliminary lab testing which proves nothing.

Will this supplement be safe? Who knows! It might be safe but there again; it is basically untested for human consumption so it is impossible to say.

We have yet to approve an Intechra health supplement and Trimthin X700 is not going to buck this trend. This supplement is just not safe or proven enough to add to our approved list so we have no other option but to reject it.

With the rise in obesity, it seems that there is something very wrong with the way that most of us eat. Now a new survey has found that the healthiest diets on the planet seem to originate from some of the world’s poorest places.

Research carried out by the medical journal The Lancet examined the diets of 4.5 billion adults across the countries of the world and came up with some surprising findings. The African countries appear to have the healthiest diet with Chad (once the poorest country in the world) heading the list, closely followed by Mali, Cameroon and Guyana.

      World Map

We looked at Chad cuisine to find out more.

It seems that Chadians eat a lot of grains such as millet, sorghum and rice plus plenty of fruit and vegetables and nuts especially peanuts. They also make goat cheese but dairy produce is rare.

Meat and fish is also available but we imagine that most people do not overdo this due to economic reasons. Chadian food looks surprisingly tasty – they use a lot of fresh spices and sauces. One of the typical meals is Aiyash. This dish is eaten by Chadian Arabs and features millet balls dipped in various sauces.

Of course, what they do not have in Chad is access to fast food or processed food. Perhaps the difference lies is what they DON’T eat in Chad, rather than what they do eat?

By contrast, the most affluent countries appear to have the worst diet. Surprisingly Armenia tops the list of diets to avoid, followed by Hungary and Belgium sits in third place just ahead of the USA.

Belgium? That’s a surprise or maybe it shouldn’t be. After all this small country is known for the quality of its chocolate, beer and chips and looking at the size of the average Belgian it seems that most of the population regularly indulges in all three of these fattening foodstuffs.

Next door neighbours France and the Netherlands do not have the same problem. There people appear to be generally slim and healthy looking. We can only conclude that for many of us weight gain is caused by simple everyday habits and traditions that a few miles down the round may not even exist.

When it comes down to it, the diet of Chad may be deemed the healthiest but this does not mean that Chadians will live long and prosper, A healthy diet is good but lifestyle is equally important.

The average life expectancy in Chad is just 50 years. Whereas in Belgium it is 80 years old. Naturally, much of this will be to do with the good healthcare you can expect to receive in Belgium compared with the inadequate facilities of Chad.

That said, we could learn a thing or two from the Chadian diet. And a lesson from Belgium too, though not necessarily in a good way.

      Slendertox Tea Review

      Slendertox Tea Facts

      • Slendertoxtea is a British company
      • Teatox packages available in 14 days, 28 days and 3 months supply
      • There is no such bean as a sterling bean despite this being advertised as a key ingredient

Slendertox is a two-part detox package of teabags that comes with the claims that it will help you lose weight and achieve inner cleansing in a healthy way. According to the product information, all the ingredients are natural and organic and the blends are based on a South Asian recipe.

There are two separate tea blends to take at different times of the day.

The Daytox, which you drink each morning and Sleeptox a tea that you drink before bedtime. Both teas contain more or less the same ingredients, including green tea as well as other parts of the tea plant such as tea seeds and tea flowers.

Slendertox also contains fennel, which is known for causing a laxative and diuretic effect, hawthorn extract plus an unusual bean extract called sterling bean, which we had not come across before and will look into later in the review.

It also contains radish leaf – the green leafy parts of the radish and high in vitamins and minerals, and Valerian –a plant extract that is well known for helping you sleep.

Judging by the ingredients list, at first glance, Slendertox looks a little less powerful than many other detox teas on the market.

It does not appear to contain the powerful laxatives that are a feature of many other products. However, the product information warns you that both teas will cause a laxative effect and many customers have warned that this effect can come on very suddenly.

Teatox teas are popular right now. They seem to offer weight loss and a healthy way to improve your health and although the whole area of detox is questionable, this popularity does not go away.

      How to Take Slendertox Tea

Use one Daytox teabag in the morning and one Sleeptox teabag every other night for the duration of your teatox.

Use a medium sized cup of warm or cold water (not boiling water) and allow to infuse for 3-5 minutes or as long as you wish but NO longer than 6 minutes. Sweeteners or honey may be added.

Slendertox also provide a healthy eating plan, which you can download (in English, German, Spanish or French) and use in combination with the teatox.

Slendertox is a British company based in Leeds. The address and phone number is provided and you can contact the company via email. We always love to see fully transparent contact details so this is a point in this company’s favour.

What is not quite as good is the fact that we have no way of knowing where the teabags are manufactured.

The advertising states that Slendertox is based on a South Asian recipe. Does this mean that Slendertox is also manufactured in South Asia? This is a point of concern.

We have no way of knowing whether this supplement is made in a factory that conforms to GMP (good manufacturing practice) or elsewhere. There could be issues of safety and hygiene.

      Slendertox Tea Concerns:

      • Could pose a serious risk to health especially if taken long term
      • Where is this supplement made? China? There is nothing to prove that it is manufactured in the UK?
      • Is this teatox really made from organic ingredients? Where is the evidence to prove this?

What Does Slendertox Tea Claim To Do?

      According to the advertising,

Made from a purely natural organic herbal blend, Slendertoxtea is a Teatox designed to detoxify and cleanse, increase metabolism, suppress your appetite, burn calories and increase energy.

This all sounds great but according to medical experts, detoxing is not actually good for health. Our bodies do not store toxins – we have liver and kidneys that can filter out toxins such as alcohol.

Green tea may have an effect upon the metabolism and energy levels when taken on its own or combined with caffeine but there are no guarantees that taken in combination with other ingredients in unknown quantities, you will notice this effect.

In addition, we would have liked to see some proof about the origins of this supplement and the herbal ingredients. Organic status is hard to achieve so usually organic products come with some background as to where they are produced. This information is just not provided and we question these claims.

So What Is Slendertox Tea and What Are The Ingredients?

Slendertox tea is a detox programme that comes in the form of two types of tea, both of which contain many of the same ingredients. Amounts contained in each teabag are not provided.

      Daytox Ingredients:

      • Hawthorn Grain: The hawthorn is well known as a medicinal plant and in most cases, it is the flowers, leaves and fruit are used as supplement ingredients and not the seeds. The different components have different qualities so it is important to be clear on this fact.
Hawthorn generally lacks clinical evidence and there are safety concerns about it. There has been just one clinical experiment on hawthorn seeds carried out on caged mice. It makes for some uncomfortable reading “In tail-clip, hot-plate, and acetic acid-induced writhing tests, hawthorn seemed to have an analgesic effect”. What this has to do with healthy weight loss is anyone’s guess.
        Source:http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/20673180
      • Red Bean: This could be anything! Kidney bean or Adzuki bean, the advertising does not make it clear. Beans are generally a good source of protein and fibre but are probably better when used as part of your normal diet rather than in tea form.
        Source:http://www.livestrong.com/article/424301-weight-loss-and-red-kidney-beans/
      • Sterling Bean: Another mysterious bean ingredient! There is no such bean as the sterling bean! If it is an ordinary legume, it could be useful for weight loss because of the high fibre and protein content found in all beans. However, we would be cautious about taking a completely invented ingredient like this.
      • Radish Leaf: There are several types of radish and it is unclear which variety this is. However, in general radish leaves are rich in potassium, folic acid and vitamin C as well as minerals. The Daikon radish is most common in South Asian cuisine.
      • Camellia Seed: Also known as tea seed and rich in fatty acid oils, this ingredient seems to have antioxidant properties – stronger than the leaves of the tea plant. According to early research, it may help protect against dangerous free radical cells and therefore improve resistance to disease.
        Source:http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/22174626
      • Camellia Flower: Known in Chinese as the tea flower, this ingredient probably comes from the Camellia Sinensis (tea plant) and not the camellia we grow in our gardens. If it is tea plant variety, it is high in antioxidants (ECGC and phenols) and may have benefits similar to the leaves that we usually drink. However, we do not know this for sure.
        Source:http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/17392094
      • Green Tea: Clinical research has found that green tea has proven health benefits and the antioxidants (ECGC and polyphenols) found to have anti obesity and fat burning properties because of the effects upon the metabolism.
        Source:http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/17201629
      • Fennel Seeds: Commonplace garden herb used medicinally for digestive problems and a mild laxative and diuretic. It may work in the body like oestrogen, so will not suit you if you have hormone related health issues.
        Source:http://www.webmd.com/vitamins-supplements/ingredientmono-311-fennel.aspx?activeingredientid=311&activeingredientname=fennel

      Sleeptox Ingredients:

This tea contains exactly the same ingredients as previously mentioned in Daytox with only two differences.

In Sleeptox Hawthorn seeds have been replaced by Large Hawthorn. The product information states that,

Large hawthorn helps lower your blood pressure making it perfect for just before bed, lowering your blood pressure helps your relax giving you that perfect nights sleep.

This is not actually safe. However, it is true that Hawthorn may have this effect along with causing heart arrhythmias’ if taken to excess.

      • Valerian Root: This commonplace garden plant is well known for its ability to improve sleep quality and relaxation. However, it can interact with drugs and alcohol and may cause grogginess the next morning. It should not be taken for longer than 28 days. A clinical trial on 12,000 people found that it was safe but long term safety has not been tested.

So What Does All This Mean?

We have some serious concerns about Slendertox. The ingredients information is inadequate and it is impossible to know what is exactly contained in these teabags.

There is also a discrepancy between the effects reported by customers and the warnings provided by Slendertox, with the ingredients list. Everyone warns that this detox tea has a strong laxative effect (including Slendertox) but the ingredients list does not bear this out.

Apart from the fennel leaves, there is nothing much in the listed ingredients to cause this effect. So what does this teatox actually contain? We just do not know and sticking our necks out here, we suspect that Slendertox does not know either.

This teatox has all the signs of having been imported probably from South Asia and although that is no crime, it just does not look safe. There is something contained this teatox that merits a warning of a strong laxative effect but whatever it is, it’s not showing up in the ingredients list.

Does Slendertox Tea Have Any Side Effects?

      Slendertox warn of side effects. They state;

The only real noticeable side effects you may get from the Slender Teatox are those associated with a laxative effect.

      These include:

      • Cramping
      • Increased visits to the bathroom

The information states that the side effects should not include:

      • Diarrhoea
      • Vomiting
      • Severe cramping
      • Dizziness

However, there is a very real risk of these more serious effects according to customers. Many have reported the same experience. A typical comment said,

It’s basically just a laxative. It is unhealthy and causes severe stomach cramps and constant diarrhoea.

      Other side effects may include:

      • Morning grogginess
      • Lowered blood pressure which could be dangerous
      • Heart beat irregularities
      • Palpitations

      Slendertox warns that,

Teatoxing can affect the contraceptive pill if you take it in the morning within 4 hours of the laxative effect. People who absorb their contraceptive pill at night will be fine as it takes around 10 hours for the laxative effect to set in, however to be on the safe side we advise the use of condoms during your Teatox.

Slendertox will also interact with other medication. You should certainly avoid if you are taking heart medication such as Digoxin and you should avoid alcohol while taking supplements containing valerian. You should avoid it if you have or have had a hormonally related medical condition.

      Caution:
Not suitable for individuals under 18.

Avoid if you are pregnant or breast feeding or taking the contraceptive pill.

Any Slendertox Tea Reviews From Customers?

There is a lot of feedback and many customers have had unpleasant experiences, mostly around the laxative effect. One lady’s experience highlighted the problems,

The tea came the next day. Great. I had my first go the next morning, tummy had more gurgles than usual and I was expecting to go to the toilet a little more than usual. I was not prepared for what followed. That same morning, a little later, around 11:30am I felt the urge to go… You have around 3 seconds to respond. I was unfortunately in the car…

      Another customer reported,

Did not notice any health benefits and gave bad stomach cramps. Very expensive as well.

      And,

Don’t even bother with this product. Makes you ill, huge health risk.

      Another said,

I’VE BEEN SICK FOR 3 DAYS!!!!

There are multiple comments along the same lines. There are however, some positive comments such as,

Instant results!! Will indeed be buying more !!

      So Does Slendertox Tea Work?

Yes, it works as a powerful laxative and some people believe that this is an advantage. However taking laxatives to fuel weight loss is not advisable. It does not result in long-term weight loss and can lead to dehydration unless you are careful to ensure you get plenty of fluids while undergoing the detox.

Dehydration is a serious medical problem and can lead to complications including:

      • Fatigue
      • Dizziness
      • Heart palpitations – such as sensation of pounding heart or rapid beat
      • Confusion
      • Fainting
      • Inability to sweat or urinate

If you are otherwise healthy why run the risk of getting ill by taking such a dangerous looking supplement?

Where Can I Buy Slendertox Tea?

Slendertox Tea only appears to be available online and is not in the Shopping Mall or High Street. You can buy Slendertox via the product website. The 14-Day Teatox (14 Daytox teabags, 7 Sleeptox tea bags) costs £19.99.

You can buy the teabags separately too. 14 Daytox tea bags costs £13.99. 7 Sleeptox teabags costs £9.99. You can also buy the 28 Day Teatox (28 Daytox teabags, 14 Sleeptox teabags) for £32.99.

Alarmingly you can buy 3 months supply too, for £89.00.

Flat price world shipping is an additional £10.00. UK shipping is free.
Slendertox Tea is also available via UK Amazon for the same price as quoted by the website.

US customers can buy Slendertox Tea direct from Amazon. The 14-Day Teatox costs around $38.00 depending on the seller.

      What About A Guarantee

      No guarantee on offer.

      Watchdog Verdict

It will probably come as no surprise to find that we are unimpressed with this supplement. It comes with a lot of claims of helping improve health and weight loss but there is no evidence that this is true and according to customers, it seems more likely to make you ill.

The ingredients list is very sketchy and although some ingredients such as tea seeds and green tea look good, there are listed ingredients that do not even appear to exist! There is no such bean as a sterling bean for example.

If that wasn’t bad enough, there is nothing here that is supposed to cause a dramatic laxative effect yet even the product information warns of it. So what does this supplement really contain?

We do not know and we suspect that Slendertox doesn’t know either. We would love it if they could contact us and provide some clarification.

There is nothing to prove that the ingredients are organic as claimed. We don’t even know where it is made and we feel this teatox has every hallmark of a Chinese made product so is unlikely to have conformed to GMP (good manufacturing practice).

We share the opinion of the medical establishment in believing that detox is bad for health but to be honest, any other teatox is probably better than this one. If you are really set on a teatox there are other supplements on the market which look safer.

It is an easy decision. We reject Slendertox Tea.
