Forskolin Fuel Review
Forskolin Fuel Facts
- Marketed by Santrinico – a company based in Cyprus
- Auto billing policy
- Conflicting results of clinical testing for Forskolin
Forskolin Fuel is a fat burning diet pill that contains pure Coleus Forskohlii that is according to the advertising behind this supplement.
Forskolin is an extract taken from the roots of the plant Plectranthus Barbatus (Coleus Forskohlii). This tropical plant is known as a herbal remedy for many health conditions such as heart disease in both traditional Indian and South America medicine.
Recently Forskolin has undergone limited testing for weight loss and the prevention of obesity and some people believe that it is effective in this role.
The Forskolin Fuel product information has included a couple of these clinical studies in with their advertising.
One test suggested that Forskolin stimulates the thyroid membranes and may have a metabolism boosting effect. The other test carried out on 30 obese men over 12 weeks suggested a decrease in body fat when compared to the placebo group.
The website information states that there is 125mg of Forskolin in each dose and has a standardized 20% extract. According to the product information, this reflects the findings of the clinical trails.
So far, so good but a downside of Forskolin Fuel is a lack of ingredients information and we are very concerned that we cannot see a full ingredients profile. We searched online and the product website but this information is not provided. You cannot even see a product label.
Forskolin Fuel is marketed by Santrinico Enterprises. This company is based in Cyprus and sell direct across the World.
Santrinico provide local support in the USA, Australia, UK, Germany and Brazil. You can call them on the phone via the appropriate country based phone number.
Forskolin looks like an American product and comes with the claim that this supplement is “proudly made in the USA”. However there are no details surrounding the manufacture of this supplement.
Santrinico do not provide any instructions about how to actually take this supplement.
Santrinico offer a free trial
This got our alarm bells ringing because we have seen a lot of scams surrounding free trial.
It was time to look at the terms and conditions and what we found out was not good. The free trial does not really exist. Instead, there is a free bottle with certain purchases plus a discount.
More worryingly, Santrinico are operating an auto billing system. You can sign up to 5 months supply maximum plan, three months or one month. It is not made clear whether the auto billing continues after the stated term. It is quite likely that after you have received your 5 months supply, you will be sent a further 5 months supply and be billed accordingly. Despite the pages of terms and conditions, this point is not made clear.
What the terms and conditions do state that if you sign up to an agreement it is legally binding.
You understand that if you signed up for a monthly-billed continuity program, there is a monthly payment obligation for you.
It is highly likely that this means that each purchase means that you are automatically signed up to this agreement.
The Santrinico information explains their policy for debt collection.
If Santrinico Enterprises is unable to process your payment for a given month of program benefit eligibility, you understand and acknowledge that Santrinico Enterprises shall be entitled to seek collection of the unpaid funds using either internal or third party collection efforts.
This mean that you will be hassled with debt collectors should you fail to pay your monthly agreement.
In addition, by buying Forskolin Fuel you are automatically agreeing to something the company call an Arbitration agreement. This reads;
BY AGREEING TO THIS ARBITRATION AGREEMENT, YOU ARE GIVING UP YOUR RIGHT TO GO TO COURT, INCLUDING YOUR RIGHT TO A JURY TRIAL.
Seems heavy handed but essentially the crux is that you cannot take action against Santrinico. You have already agreed that you have no rights against this company.
Forskolin Fuel Concerns:
- Lack of helpful information about the auto billing agreement on the terms and conditions page
- You have to promise to waive your legal rights if you buy from this company
- Lack of transparent information regarding sales policy and supplement
What Does Forskolin Fuel Claim To Do?
According to the advertising, there are six key benefits to Forskolin Fuel.
- INCREASED FAT METABOLISM
- HEALTHY WEIGHT MANAGEMENT
- PROPER HORMONE OPTIMIZATION
- CONTAINS 125 MG PER SERVING
- STANDARDIZED 20% COLEUS FORSKOHLII EXTRACT
- PURE EXTRACT WITH NO ARTIFICIAL COLORS OR PRESERVATIVES
In addition the product information states that,
Forskolin Fuel contains premium grade 20% standardized Coleus Forskohlii Extract that meets all of the doctor recommended criteria for effective Coleus Forskohlii.
This is blatantly untrue. Doctors do NOT recommend Coleus Forskohlii for weight loss.
None of the claims come with any evidence.
So What Is Forskolin Fuel and What Are The Ingredients For Forskolin Fuel?
Forskolin Fuel is a diet pill that comes without a real ingredient profile.
According to the advertising, it contains just one ingredient but it is likely that each capsule contains other ingredients. However, we are not allowed to see the product label.
- Forskolin (125mg): According to some clinical tests, Forskolin has found to have limited effects on body composition. We found one clinical trial that was carried out on 23 obese women. This found that Forskolin does not promote weight loss but may help mitigate weight gain in overweight females with apparently no clinically significant side effects.
There have also been the two clinical tests referenced by the Forskolin Fuel advertising. What the advertising did not mention was that the test carried out on the obese men was found to increase testosterone levels and that the ingredient was tested on just 15 men. Healthy testosterone levels for men are important for weight maintenance and general health but may not provide the same effects in women.
However medical opinion is that this ingredient requires further clinical evaluation. Results have not been consistent and the tests have been very small. There is not enough evidence to prove that this ingredient really works for weight loss.
So What Does All This Mean?
Clinical testing for Forskolin has been small scale and this ingredient requires further evidence.
Results have been conflicting and currently there is no reliable scientific information that shows Coleus Forskohlii extracts taken by mouth are effective for weight loss.
Does Forskolin Fuel Have Any Side Effects?
Yes, it may have side effects. It may interfere with heart medication and cause a reduction in blood pressure. It may increase bleeding in the case of injury or a bleeding disorder. We were unable to find any customer reviews so cannot bring you any real life experiences.
Avoid if you are pregnant or breast feeding. Do not take if you suffer from a heart or blood pressure related medical condition. Avoid if you are taking medication because of interactions and seek the advice of your doctor first.
Any Forskolin Fuel Reviews From Customers?
We were unable to find any independent customer reviews. Forskolin Fuel is only on sale direct from the product website, which means there is no place for customer feedback.
Of course, there are plenty of so-called real life customer testimonials here. Unsurprisingly they all state that Forskolin Fuel helped weight loss.
So Does Forskolin Fuel Work?
Unlikely to work as described.
The clinical evidence does not prove it provides anything more than a mild effect and in the case of one test does not even cause weight loss at all. It may however be effective for weight maintenance but we would not rely on this.
This ingredient requires further evidence and with the lack of ingredients information and zero customer feedback, we don’t think it will do much, if anything for weight loss.
Where Can I Buy Forskolin Fuel?
You can only buy Forskolin Fuel from the product website. Annoyingly you cannot even see the price until you have submitted your address details.
There are three options on offer.
- One month’s supply (the amount of capsules is not provided) costs £28.00 (UK customers). This is described as a 1-month test plan. Standard shipping costs a further 32.50.
- The three-month “moderate plan” costs £57.60 and includes 2 bottles plus 1 free bottle and free shipping.
- The 5-month maximum plan costs £86.40 and includes 3 bottles plus 2 free bottles of supplement. This option also includes free shipping.
If you are in the USA, Germany, Australia or Brazil you will be able to see prices in your own currency.
You may be offered further discounts on shipping or price. The website states;
Special Discount Activated. Additional 16%- 27% Off Orders Placed Today.
What About A Guarantee
A major part of the product advertising is the risk free 100% money back guarantee.
We checked through the terms and conditions and it turns out that it is not really a guarantee at all.
Here is what Santrinico say about the guarantee. There are five points.
- You should return the item within 90 days of your purchase date.
- We do not accept items back that have been opened or used. Opened Items are Non Refundable.
- Shipping and Handling Fees are Non Refundable.
- There is a $10.00 restocking fee for returns per item.
- You must obtain an RMA# by contacting customer support
So, the company will not honour a money back guarantee if you have opened the packaging and actually tried this supplement? Not only do you have to pay shipping and handling you also have to pay a $10.00 restocking fee.
This is not a proper money back guarantee.
We are not impressed with Forskolin Fuel. The principle ingredient forskolin requires further clinical testing and evidence and although this ingredient may look promising it is unproven to work for weight loss.
In addition, the product description lacks even basic information such as how many capsules are contained in each bottle and how you should take this supplement.
We are equally unimpressed with Santrinico the company behind this supplement. This company seem to be operating an auto-billing programme and have some pretty draconian terms and conditions including the scary looking arbitration clause.
The auto billing arrangement is not very clear either. Does it really mean if you sign up to 3 months agreement for example you will not be hassled 6 months down the line? Alternatively, is it only valid for 3months? The product terms and conditions do not make this clear.
In addition, we are disappointed with the guarantee. Despite the big claims that this is 100 % risk free, the truth is that it is just a returns policy that will not apply if you have actually tried the supplement. How is that a guarantee?
It is an easy decision. We have no other option but to reject Forskolin Fuel.
