It Works Ultimate ThermoFit Review
Ultimate Thermofit Facts
- This supplement is sold via direct marketing and a network of distributors
- Each bottle contains 60 capsules – up to a month’s supply
- This diet pill is being sold via Amazon – a fact that has angered It Works distributors
It Works Ultimate ThermoFit is advertised as a natural product. It contains plant extracts and herbs including Guarana – which contains caffeine so may perk you up, Dandelion root – a powerful diuretic that may make you urinate more, and some antioxidant rich berries such as Acai and Green Tea Leaf extract. These may help increase the speed of the metabolism.
There are also some diet pill favourites in this supplement including raspberry ketone and capsicum extract believed to increase the metabolism as well as reduce depression.
Most of the ingredients are combined in a branded supplement so you cannot see the true ingredients breakdown but there is little here that is of major concern health wise for most people.
Ultimate ThermoFit is sold by It Works, a direct marketing company that specialise in health and weight loss products.
The main It Works product is not a supplement but a body wrap that supposedly sheds inches from your body after using it for just 45 minutes.
Ultimate ThermoFit is just one in a wide range of supplements and the Wraps appear to be their major line.
It Works offers network marketing opportunities to individuals and make some pretty impressive claims about how much distributors can hope to earn.
It seems that the main thrust of the business is that you have “wrap parties” at your home or at health and beauty shows, fairs, and you carry out party plan selling.
It Works sellers are called wrapeneurs and the idea is that you host events and make sales direct to people you know.
The It Works website features a video about a woman who quit her job and spends her life having fun and getting rich selling It Works products.
It sounds good but the reality will probably not be as easy as this sounds.
For starters, there is a 40-page list of terms and conditions for would be sellers and after looking through these in some detail, it is hard to see how anyone is going to make a living from this.
We looked at the potential earnings you can expect if you become a distributor and according to this information provided by the website, the average annual income works out at about $937 per year.
This is BEFORE any expenses you may incur for hosting parties, publicity, marketing literature or stands at shows $937 a year is o.k. but is it really enough income to enable you to jack in your job as the website suggests?
A couple of sellers are marketing Ultimate ThermoFit via Amazon.com – a fact that has got some It Works distributors complaining. Selling on Amazon is prohibited according to the It Works rules and regulations (40 pages of small print).
It Works are a major business. They recently made the Herald Tribune newspaper after moving to new office premises in Palmetto Florida and including lots of fun stuff within the building such as slides, cocktail bars and free cafes. The business HQ looks a lot like the West Coast IT companies such as Google.
According to information provided by company founder, Mark Pentecost a former high school basket ball coach in Michigan;
Since 2010, the company’s annual revenue has spiked from $27 million to $456 million last year. In 2014, it projects to grow again.
With the average distributor earning just $937 per year, it is easy to see just who is getting rich from this!
To use It Works Ultimate ThermoFit take one capsule two – three times daily.
It Works Ultimate ThermoFit Concerns:
- This diet pill is expensive and customers may feel pressurised to buy from personal friends who are distributors
- We could not find any independent positive feedback
- Is jacking in your day job to sell It Works supplements full time, as the It Works website suggests, really a sensible and financially viable option?
What Does It Works Ultimate ThermoFit Claim To Do?
The Ultimate ThermoFit information claims that this supplement;
- Promotes increased calorie burning
- Helps boost metabolic rate
- Reduces appetite
- Provides energy
- Thermogenic weight loss formula
- Antioxidant benefits of Acai berry
Fire up your metabolism and is a naturally based thermogenic formula
There is no evidence or explanation how these ingredients will achieve these effects. The It Works information does not provide any clinical proof.
So What Is It Works Ultimate ThermoFit and What Are The Ingredients For Thermofit?
It Works Ultimate ThermoFit is a diet pill that that the makers claim has a fat burning effect. Serving size is one capsule.
- Vitamin B12 (as Cyanocobalamin) (100 mcg): Common semi-synthetic form of vitamin B. It does not occur in nature, but is produced from bacterial hydroxocobalamin. Vitamin B12 is a water-soluble vitamin with an important role in healthy brain function but here in very small quantities.
- Chromium (200mcg): This trace mineral may help reduce carb cravings but there is no evidence for weight loss. Here in insignificant quantities, which is just as well because when taken in high amounts chromium can be dangerous for health.
- Capsicum extract (Capsiplex) (33mg): Branded capsicum supplement that is believed to help weight loss via the fat burning effect. When taken in sufficient quantities, some research has indicated that capsaicoinds, the compound that causes the fiery sensation of chilli peppers, increases the metabolism and promotes fat burning.
One clinical test carried out in Thailand found that after eating 5g of chilli peppers the metabolism was increased for 30 minutes after ingestion. At just 33mg, it seems unlikely to do much here.
- Raspberry ketones (33mg): Common ingredient in slimming supplements which has been overhyped following exposure on the Dr Oz show. There is no real evidence that it works because so far lab testing has only been carried out on rats, mice and guinea pigs.
- Acai fruit extract 5:1 (100mg): Superfruit extract that contains high levels of antioxidants. However, at this ratio, only 20mg of the extract is actually the Acai fruit.
The ratio 5:1 means that for each unit of active ingredient you have five parts other ingredients. For example, if the solvent in a liquid extract makes up 80% of the extract, its removal concentrates the extract by a factor of five and makes a final herb to extract ratio of 5:1
Proprietary blend 400mg comprising of:
- Green tea leaf extract (provides 90% ECGC – epigallocatechin ): Clinical research has found that green tea has proven health benefits and that the antioxidants (ECGC and polyphenols) contained in green tea may have anti obesity and fat burning properties because of the effects upon the metabolism caffeine.
- Bitter melon fruit extract: This Asian fruit is used medicinally and for food. It contains an insulin type chemical and may help lower blood sugar. However it requires further testing and evidence.
Source: WebMD Resource
- Dandelion root extract: Commonplace garden weed acts as a diuretic, which means it makes you urinate more. Lacks evidence that it has any other benefits.
Source: WebMD Resource
- Gymnema leaf extract: Natural Australian herb that is unique in reducing the taste of sugar when the leaves are chewed.
Research into this herb is ongoing. The preliminary results have been positive but it requires further testing for supplement use.
So What Does All This Mean?
It Works Ultimate ThermoFit does not look as if it will work very well. The amount quantities of the listed ingredients are extremely small and we cannot tell how much of any one ingredient is contained in the proprietary blend.
However some ingredients look promising and we cannot find any particular health issues. It Works Ultimate ThermoFit looks safe but is unlikely to do much.
Does It Works Ultimate ThermoFit Have Any Side Effects?
According to customer feedback, It Works Ultimate ThermoFit does not appear to have too many side effects.
One customer complained of stomach upset and reported;
Will give you the runs but that’s all.
There is caffeine in this pill so you may experience side effects if you are sensitive,
- Upset stomach
- Increased blood pressure
- Increased heart rate
Ultimate ThermoFit may cause;
- Increase urine output
- Mild dehydration
- Lowered blood sugar levels
- Increased menstrual bleeding
Avoid if you are pregnant or breast-feeding. Do not take if you are trying to conceive because bitter melon extract is known to induce abortions in animals and it can increase menstrual bleeding.
See your doctor first if you are taking prescription medication in case of interactions. Some of the ingredients may lower blood sugar levels so if you are diabetic it may affect your medication.
If you have an underlying health condition seek the advice of your doctor before you start taking a supplement and embarking on a weight loss diet.
Any It Works Ultimate ThermoFit Reviews From Customers?
Despite the long list of It Works rules that state that distributors are not allowed to sell via Amazon, some supplement sellers have angered many of these distributors by selling the supplement on Amazon, anyway.
This means that unlike many of the supplements sold via direct network marketing you do get a real view of customer experiences.
Many customers are not happy with It Works Ultimate ThermoFit.
One lady reported;
I have been on this supplement for over 2 months. I have not lost any weight, and my energy level has not changed at all. If this works for some people, that’s great. But it did nothing for me, and I won’t be buying it again
Another customer reported;
I bought this in hopes that it would help me in my weight loss endeavors but to no avail I did however notice I had a bit more energy.)
it’s a waste of money. I got two and I see nothing am still 180. I work out 5 days a week and still see nothing. Save your money
There are positive reviews too but these have been left mainly by people trying to sell this supplement themselves. We were unable to find a genuine impartial positive review.
A typical positive comment was left by an It Works Distributor.
This stuff is golden! Why? Because it actually works.
Especially recommend for people who are already eating healthy and exercising. Don’t let some tell you different. Take one before you eat your big meal, not snacks. I take one for lunch and dinner. I drink only water, lemon water, homemade teas….. etc. Want to know my results? email me
She goes onto provide her email address.
Many of the distributors claim that the Amazon sellers are doing something illegal;
Illegal selling – Buy from direct distributors only and save your money!
is the title of one review.
This reviewer could not help adding her email address either.
We cannot see why it should be “illegal” to sell a product on Amazon. It may be contrary to the wishes of It Works Corporation but that does not make it illegal, does it?
So Does It Works Ultimate ThermoFit Work?
We don’t think it will work very well.
The ingredients are in minimal quantities and as with raspberry ketones lack any evidence that they work
Much of the testing on Green tea for example has used much larger daily doses (323 mg ECGC per day) to achieve any weight loss and even this depends on the individual. It is unlikely that the green tea content will reflect the conditions of positive clinical testing.
The same applies to the other ingredients. Clinical tests rely on the correct dosage and test conditions that are rarely reflected by supplement manufacturers.
In addition, it is impossible to find a positive customer review from anyone who is impartial. All the positive comments come from distributors whereas there is a high number of negative comments from impartial users.
The good point about this supplement is that it does not appear to cause too many unpleasant side effects. If you believe in it, you may benefit from a mild placebo effect and some people have claimed that it does enhance energy levels.
Where Can I Buy It Works Ultimate ThermoFit?
As with all these direct marketing schemes, buying the supplement is not as easy as simply finding it and buying it online.
If you go to the It Works website, you are offered two prices for a bottle of 60 capsules (approximately one month’s supply).
The recommended retail price is $65.00 but if you sign up to be a Loyal Customer you get a 40% discount but this includes joining a 3 months auto ship programme. There does not appear to be an option to simply buy this supplement without joining the It Works loyalty program.
If you don’t agree to this auto ship, you have to pay an added $50.00 membership fee. However if you commit to three months auto ship, your $50.00 fee is waived.
The Loyal customer price for 60 capsules is $39.00
Alternatively, you can search for a distributor and buy It Works Ultimate ThermoFit direct from one of these.
The easiest way to buy Ultimate ThermoFit is via Amazon.com. One bottle of 60 capsules costs $58.99 and includes free shipping to US addresses.
If you are looking to buy Ultimate ThermoFit from outside the USA, you can probably find an international distributor via the It Works website.
What About A Guarantee
There does not appear to be a guarantee offered for this supplement. However if you buy from a distributor you may be able to get your money back if you are dissatisfied.
We are not very impressed with It Works Ultimate ThermoFit. This supplement looks extremely mediocre and we cannot see it doing much for enhancing your weight loss.
As with all these direct selling schemes, the supplement tends to gets forgotten in all the hype.
For example, the It Works information provides 40 pages of rules and regulations for would be distributors but lacks any detailed explanation about the supplement itself. There is no explanation about how it works, no clinical evidence, and the supplement lacks a full ingredients list.
At the end of the day, it all comes down to the product and this one is simply not good enough to make it onto our approved list. We like that it seems safe but it is expensive and just does not seem to be worth the money.
It does seem for the majority of distributors this is unlikely to replace your “day job”. You may be lucky and be in the right environment where the It Works Wraps are popular and people actually want It Works supplements. If so, good luck with that one! However, in our experience only the people running these businesses get to make any real money.
It is an easy decision. We reject It Works Ultimate ThermoFit.
