Rightway Nutrition Forskolin Review
Rightway Forskolin Facts
- Manufactured by Rightway Nutrition
- 60 capsules per bottle
- Single ingredient product
Rightway Nutrition are the manufacturers of Rightway Nutrition Forskolin. However, we could find no information about their Forskolin product on the official Rightway Nutrition website. This is perhaps because the product is new, as it still carries a new tag on the GNC website, the only place where it is currently sold.
However, we still find it incredibly unusual that a new product available at a third party whilst not being promoted on the manufacturer’s website at all.
How to Take Rightway Nutrition Forskolin
Take 1 capsule one to two times per day with an 8-12 oz glass of water.
Consider taking Forskolin with other RightWay Nutrition products.
Rightway Nutrition Forskolin Concerns:
- Very expensive
- Little supportive clinical evidence
- Single ingredient product
What Does Rightway Nutrition Forskolin Claim To Do?
Worryingly enough, there are absolutely no claims made about what Rightway Nutrition Forskolin does or how it works in the body. The GNC product description for this product is merely three simple bullet points that do not refer to the possible effects of Forskolin at all:
- Standardized to 20% Forskolin
- 250 mg per capsule
- 100% Vegetarian
The label on the bottle provides no additional information. On the GNC website the product is in the ‘diet programs and systems’ category, and the bottle uses the colour scheme that all weight management products from Rightway Nutrition use, but this is the only information provided to suggest the purpose of this diet pill.
So What Is Rightway Nutrition Forskolin and What Are The Ingredients?
The sole ingredient in Rightway Nutrition Forskolin is Forskolin, which is an herbal extract from Coleus forskohlii, a plant belonging to the mint family. Each capsule contains 250 mg, and the recommended dose is one capsule to be taken twice daily with meals. The Coleus Forskohlii extract used in this diet pill is standardised to 20% forskolin.
Coleus Forskohlii has been used in traditional Indian medicine to treat a range of ailments, such as asthma, high blood pressure and chest pains.
Dr Oz has claimed that Forskolin works to boost the metabolism, aiding weight loss, specifically by causing increased calories and fat to be burnt. Dr. Oz’s endorsement of this ingredient has led to huge jumps in sales of Forskolin based products, with the TV doctor using phrases such as ‘lightning in a bottle’, and ‘miracle flower to fight fat’ to describe the herbal extract.
There is one clinical trial that has investigated the link between Forskolin and weight loss. It was a double blind, randomised trial that compared the results with the use of a placebo, but it also only used 19 female participants, 7 of which were taking forskolin over the course of 12 weeks.
No significant differences were observed in caloric or macronutrient intake. Users of Forskolin “tended to mitigate gains in body mass and scanned mass” with no significant differences in fat mass, fat free mass or body fat. Subjects in the Forskolin consuming group tended to report less fatigue and hunger. No clinically significant interactions were seen in metabolic markers, blood lipids, muscle and liver enzymes, electrolytes, red cells, white cells, insulin levels, heart rate, blood pressure, or weekly reports of side effects.
Essentially, the study showed that the participants did not lose any weight, but at least they did not gain weight. They reported feeling less hunger, but there was not real or significant appetite suppression, as the calorific value of their consumed meals remained largely the same.
The study does mention two other smaller studies that did show a possible connection between Forskolin and fat loss, but at best the evidence is limited and studies show widely varying results.
So What Does All This Mean?
The study showed that Forskolin is not a metabolism boosting ingredient, and that its use led to no weight loss in any regard at all. People should probably stick with using Forskolin to treat asthma, as there are some clinical trials that support this use.
Whilst this is a stronger extract of Forskolin than we have seen elsewhere, there is no clinical evidence to suggest it does boost the metabolism, burn fat or significantly suppress the appetite.
Does Rightway Nutrition Forskolin Have Any Side Effects?
As Forskolin can be taken in a number of different ways depending upon what ailment is being treated, there are a variety of possible side effects. Obviously many will not affect supplement users; for example, the possible side effects from inhaling forskolin as a treatment of asthma include throat irritation, cough, tremor, and restlessness.
Possible side effects include headaches, a decrease in blood pressure, increased heart rate, heart palpitations, dizziness, blurred vision, nausea, fatigue, lack of concentration, heart burn, indigestion, stomach cramps. Obviously, if any of these side effects are experienced, consumers are advised to cease the use of the diet pill.
Forskolin may also interact with prescribed medications, especially blood thinners and blood pressure medications. Consumers should consult their doctor before use if they are taking any prescription medications.
Do not take if pregnant, lactating or under 18 years old.
Keep out of reach of children.
Consult a healthcare professional before stating any diet or weight management program.

Any Rightway Nutrition Forskolin Reviews From Customers?
There are two customer reviews of this product on gnc.com:
I have been taking this brand of Forskolin for about 2 months now…..and I was going to wait a lil longer before I wrote a review on it, but after reading the first review, I felt inclined to rebuke it! First off all let me say that you are not going to get results after two weeks of taking this product, it’s just that plain and simple! The way I recommend to take it, is to start off with one a day for two weeks (so that your system gets used to it), and then increase to twice a day before meals. Now onto my review of this product!
To begin, I have been a person who for most of my adult life that works out consistently and religiously on a weekly basis, and I have struggled mightily to get rid of my mid-section for as long as I can remember. I have even gone so far as to do noninvasive procedures, such as coolsculpting to help get rid of my mid-section, and that has failed. So when I saw Dr.Oz speaking about this product on his show, I decided to look further into it. So when I did, I wanted to get it from a reputable place like GNC. Now I know what most are thinking…”sure I can get this product cheaper from somewhere else”, but as I mentioned I wanted to get it from a place that I can trust. All I have to say is this product has changed my life dramatically! It has really transformed my body and is finally getting rid of my mid-section, after many years of failed attempts….I literally, almost cannot believe it! I think the key to the success of this product, is that it literally (over time), incinerates the visceral fat that is below the muscle, and that’s intruding on your organs. Most of these noninvasive procedures that they talk about today only targets the subcutaneous fat that is on top of your abdominal muscles, and won’t do much to help in this fight.
Also what I like about this product is that it has other beneficial factors such as, lowering your blood pressure (if you suffer from hypertension), helping with asthma, etc. So don’t look at it as a fat burner, but more as a healthy supplement. In fact when I reach my desired goal, I will reduce my daily intake to once a day, because of what I just mentioned. Believe you me when I tell you…..I don’t write reviews very often, and when I do, I stand by a product! So if you are struggling with this issue, and you are looking for a healthy alternative (that works), I highly recommend this product and brand! But please if you decide to take it…just be patient, and eat healthy!
So I have been on this product for 2 weeks and have not lost any weight. I take it twice a day before meals. I can say it curbs my appetite. But one negative I think is my bowels… I dont know if its detoxing or I am having a bad reaction. I would think as much as I havd gone to the bathroom I would have lost 1 pound, but no?? However, I think I have lost some belly fat. I will finish this bottle and see what happens and write another review. I have a heart arrhythmia otherwise I would take something different that the reps recommend. This one does not give me jitters and I sleep good. I think I will try it with garcinia cambogia to hopefully see more results. I only have 10 stubborn pounds to lose.
On WebMD people can leave reviews of individual supplements, although this is not tied directly to any brand or make. With regards to Forskolin products being used for weight loss, one customer wrote that Dr Oz had recommended it for weight loss, and that she now had developed diarrhoea.
So Does Rightway Nutrition Forskolin Work?
The customer reviews available are minimal, but as this is labelled as a new product on the GNC website, this is unsurprising. However, these two reviews are mixed, and do not provide much help, despite their length. Instead we turn to the clinical evidence available for the sole ingredient of this diet pill.
Here is it clear that Forskolin is not the great fat burner and metabolism booster that Dr. Oz makes it out to be, and that any appetite suppressing qualities it does have are not enough to make an impact to weight loss.
If a reader is a fan of the ingredient Forskolin, they may want to consider this brand as it contains 20% Forskolin rather than the more common 10%, but overall, we do not believe that this product is effective at aiding weight loss. It is definitely not worth the high price tag that it carries.
Where Can I Buy Rightway Nutrition Forskolin?
Rightway Nutrition Forskolin is available from GNC.com. Here a single bottle of 60 capsules costs $49.99, although those with a GNC membership card are offered a lower price of $44.99. GNC.com offer $3.99 flat rate shipping to US customers.
The Rightway Nutrition website does not have a store for their product range, merely listing descriptions of the products they have on offer. However, Rightway Nutrition Forskolin is not listed anywhere on their website.
What About A Guarantee
Because Rightway Nutrition Forskolin is only available from GNC.com, we have consulted their returns policy, rather than that of the manufacturer. GNC offer a 30 day money back guarantee on products purchased though their site. This is valid from the order date.
The item must be returned, unused or used, in good condition, in original boxes (whenever possible), and with all paperwork and accessories to ensure full credit.
Considering the cost of this product, especially in direct comparison to other brand’s diet pills that have an identical ingredients list, Rightway Nutrition Forskolin incredibly expensive.
Further to this, the clinical evidence suggests that the only ingredient, Forskolin, is not even an effective weight loss aid, making this product an even greater waste of money.
Luckily, gnc.com, the third part retailers that sell this product, have a 30 day returns guarantee. We cannot approve Rightway Nutrition Forskolin as a viable weight loss aid, or any other diet pill that has the same ingredients list of just Forskolin.
We reject Rightway Nutrition Forskolin.
