Watchdog Approved Diet Pills

Thermacuts is a thermogenic fat burner that the manufacturers claim could help you to lose up to 26lbs in only 5 weeks, with no diet or exercise. Whilst we find these claims incredibly unlikely, Thermacuts claim that they have a clinical trial that supports these results.

We take a look to see if thermacuts can live up to its own hype, or if it is yet another misleading weight loss product.

Thermacuts Facts

  • Manufactured by Dhamhil Corp.
  • 120 capsules per bottle- 30 day supply
  • 90 day money back guarantee

Whilst Thermacuts claims to be a magic weight loss solution, we have found a whole range of problems with the company and their practices.

Their terms and conditions page is fairly well hidden, with only one link at the very bottom of their sales page. Inside the terms and conditions, there is a number of different terms that directly counteract all of the sales pitch and weight loss claims. One section states:

Whilst this covers Dhamhil Corp., the manufacturers of Thermacuts, from any legal implications from their ineffective product, it also heavily suggests that all claims made on the site are completely made up.

We have also discovered that the customer testimonials provided on the website are totally fictitious. Whilst this is not the most shocking behaviour we have seen diet pill companies indulge in, the fact that they have taken their before and after images off of other websites, presumably without permission, shows that they are happy to mislead customers and misrepresent Thermacuts as an effective weight loss solution.

Investigative website have a dedicated page to Thermacuts. Their concerns are that Thermacuts were using faked “awards” badges on their website, suggesting that they were more reputable than they actually are. These have been removed, but the website is still unsecured for financial transactions, the other main concern that had about the site.

Dhamhil Corp., the company that manufactures Thermacuts, also seem to sell information about their customers to a company based in Cyprus. Whilst there is an opt-out box on the sales form, many people may miss it, and end up receiving spam from totally unrelated companies.

The website references a clinical trial in support of Thermacuts. However, there is no mention of who conducted the clinical trial, or where this information has been published. We believe that the clinical trial is yet another part of the sales pitch for Thermacuts that has been totally fabricated.

Based on the number of different elements of the Thermacuts sales pitch that have been totally made up, it would not surprise us in the least if the actual product ingredients did not resemble the list of three ingredients listed on

Thermacuts Concerns:

  • Can’t help but think they are misleading customers about product
  • Huge delivery charge- £16
  • Shares private information with other companies

What Does Thermacuts Claim To Do?

Thermacuts claims to tackle weight loss from two different angles at once. Supposedly, it:

  • Burns fat stored in your cells, and then “closes” them, blocking the access to them, which prevents fat from being stored again;
  • Turns excess fat into energy, which reduces daily calorie intake and speeds up your body’s metabolic rate, curbing your appetite in this way. It also gives you a burst of energy.
  • Further down the same sales pages, it is claimed that thermacuts has a breakthrough formula which;

accelerates two processes: thermogenesis and lipolysis, natural weight loss aids, and thus helps you slim down by improving your body’s metabolic rate, curbing your appetite and reducing fat absorption.

So What Is Thermacuts and What Are The Ingredients For Thermacuts?

The amounts of each ingredient are not made clear on the sales pages for thermacuts, but may be detailed on the packaging. There is also no complete ingredients list available, but Thermacuts do describe three of the ingredients that are in the diet pill.

    • Garcinia Cambogia: Garcinia Cambogia is a small fruit, also known as the Malabar Tamarind. Test tube and animal research suggests that HCA, the active compound in Garcinia Cambogia, may be helpful in weight loss because of its effects on metabolism. However, studies in humans have found mixed results. Some studies have found it has no effect upon either appetite or metabolic rate, whilst others showed increased weight loss compared to the use of a placebo.
    • Bitter Orange Extract: Also known as citrus aurantium, this ingredient contains synephrine. A review of numerous studies concluded that use of synephrine resulted in an increase to the participants resting metabolic rate and energy expenditure, and moderate weight loss was seen in studies lasting over 6 weeks. However, there are some concerns about its safety being under-researched and the numerous side effects that have been associated with it, which outweigh any benefits in terms of weight loss.
    • Green Tea Extract: Green tea is high in a group of antioxidants called catechins. Studies have suggested that catechins and caffeine both increase energy expenditure by boosting the metabolism temporarily. However, the metabolic increase caused by green tea is limited. One study found that the use of green tea was not enough to counteract weight gain following a very low calorie diet.

So What Does All This Mean?

Without a full ingredients list or any ingredient quantities it is impossible to determine how effective a diet pill would be. However, it seems that they use at least three active ingredients. Green tea extract has been linked with small amounts of weight loss with regular use in some studies, and bitter orange extract is also linked with weight loss. However, many medical sources, such as the Mayo Clinic in America, recommend avoiding the use of bitter orange extract, as the chances of developing serious side effects outweigh the benefits of small amounts of weight loss.

Garcinia Cambogia is an under researched ingredient, especially in humans, and so its role in weight loss is not totally established. With such mixed results from studies, to the point where they are unable to establish conclusively if it boosts the metabolism or suppresses the appetite, it is difficult to say whether or not the ingredient will actually aid weight loss or not.

Does Thermacuts Have Any Side Effects?

Thermacuts states on its website that:

Thermacuts is a 100% natural dietary supplement, a unique blend of ingredients never seen before in one capsule. This guarantees the best results. The product it completely safe and produces no side effects.

What is more worrying is that below this, they add:

Thermacuts is an all-natural dietary supplement and thus can be taken by anybody who wishes to slim down without low-calorie diets or high-intensity exercises.

There are no safety warnings for pregnant or breastfeeding women, people under the age of 18, those with pre-existing medical conditions, or for those taking medications that may interact with the ingredients of Thermacuts; these are all groups who are more likely to experience negative or serious side effects. We find this very irresponsible of the manufacturer, especially as the company does not even release a full ingredients list, making it impossible for the customer to fully research the product and any likely side effects.

From the ingredients list we do have, we have noted some potential side effects. As there are no ingredient quantities, we don’t know how likely any side effects are.

Green tea extract contains caffeine, which is a stimulant and diuretic. That means that consuming too much of it, especially within a short period of time, could lead to headaches, increased blood pressure, heart palpitations, increased urination, dehydration, disrupted sleep patterns and insomnia. Caffeine also interacts with bitter orange extract, making any side effects worse.

Bitter orange extract is another stimulant ingredient, which has been linked with a wide range of side effects, of varying severity. Possible side effects include high blood pressure, heart palpitations, headaches, migraines, fainting, heart attack and stroke. Finally, Garcinia Cambogia can cause nausea, digestive tract discomfort, and headache.

Caution: Avoid if you are pregnant or breast-feeding.

    Any Thermacuts Reviews From Customers?

There are plenty of customer testimonials that are provided by Thermacuts. However, it is pretty clear that these have been written by the same copywriter who put the sales page together, rather than by actual customers.

One of the before and after shots has been stolen from another website, with Thermacuts taking all the credit for one man’s hard work; the review associated with this before and after picture states:

Since my wife entered the menopause she started buying different medicines. It was a kind of funny first, but stopped to be when she made a real discovery – bought me some pills called Thermacuts. She thought it would improve my overall health and in fact I do feel better now, but the best thing about the pills is that I lost some pounds. The fat I gained around my tummy, which I tried to get rid of for years, is gone now!!!

In reality, the man in the picture lost the weight through attending a 6 week exercise boot camp.

Another review, written supposedly by ‘Agnes’, reads:

Hey, my name’s Agnes. I just wanted to tell you that Thermacuts is awesome! I lost 29 lbs in less than 2 months and have not piled the pounds back on (like before when I tried other “miraculous” pills). I say YES

Again, the picture accompanying this review is taken from another website,, where many users post their own weight loss success stories. Reading through the article, there is no mention of this dieter using Thermacuts, or any other diet pill to achieve her weight loss goals.

Not only are the reviews of Thermacuts made up, but they are actively and fraudulently taking the credit for random peoples’ weight loss, none of which was achieved using Thermacuts or similar products. As Thermacuts are unable to provide any genuine reviews from customers of their own product, we can only assume that is because there are no positive reviews at all.

    So Does Thermacuts Work?

It is highly unlikely that the use of Thermacuts will lead to any significant weight loss, and it will certainly not deliver any of the results promised on its dedicated sales page.

The website does not provide a comprehensive ingredients list, and even the listed ingredients would only cause small amounts of weight loss at best. Even this optimistic estimate is based upon the assumption that the listed ingredients are present in sufficient quantities, which is unlikely in this type of product.

The fact that Thermacuts have had to “manufacturer” their customer reviews suggests to us that the product does not work for any customer: if there had been customers who had given great feedback, it is logical that they would have been featured on the site.

    Where Can I Buy Thermacuts?

Thermacuts can be bought from either or There may also be more sites with different regional addresses. However, these sites use http://, and not https://, which shows that any transactions that are made through the site are not secured.

Price varies depending upon whether the customer is buying one or more bottles at once. If the potential customer tries to navigate away from the page, a pop-up box asks if they are sure. Returning to the page at this point usually brings up a discounted offer for one bottle of Thermacuts.

Warning: Currently the official website is not secure with no SSL (https:// in the URL), which means your personal and credit card data is sent insecurely over the Internet.

    What About A Guarantee

The company offers a 90 day money back guarantee, on unopened products.

However, they do not reimburse for either the initial shipping cost (£16), or the cost to return the product. As the product needs to be returned to an address in Panama, the cost of returning the product is likely to be expensive.

    Watchdog Verdict

Overall, Thermacuts seems to be a mediocre product at best.

Its ingredients are only partially revealed, and no detailed information about ingredient quantities is provided. There is professional medical advice recommending people avoid the use of one of the ingredients, whilst one of the other ingredients, Garcinia Cambogia has no conclusive clinical evidence about how it works.

What really concerns us, however, is the company behind Thermacuts. They feel no shame in we believe misleading customers about their own product, selling customer information on to third parties, and charging extortionate amounts for delivery of their product.

The money back guarantee is only on unopened goods, and with delivery charges not being refunded, plus the cost of returning the product, it could actually work out more expensive to return a single unopened bottle.

Our recommendation is to instead buy a different, better product from a company that has distribution centres in your own country of residence, to save time and money. Take a look at our approved list to see some of the much better alternatives that are available.
